Looks like only Aerolineas Argentinas is flying. Prices from USD$280 to 340

Thanks for the help guys! I found this airline also has flights from Punta Del Este to Buenos Aires: http://www.flybqb.com

The site does not offer an English translation, but I found the flight to cost U$133. What currency is that and what does it translate to in American dollars? The Aerolineus one-way flights seem way to expensive at $250 US Dollars.

Thanks!

how much should it cost to rent a car there for 1 month?
Also how expensive is gas there?
How much is to rent a decent house reasonably close to the beach for 1 month with internet?
How easy are Punta del Este casinos(konrad in special) in that date of the year?
How expensive are punta del este parties?(price of the beer on the nightclubs, price to enter, also some outside parties and shows)
How much is the food there? Are there some good restaurants for a decent price?
How much anticipation time should we take to rent a house(should we rent it in october before the rents run out?)

and how different are the NL1K games on konrad from the NL600?

Also can we cashout/cash-in using mastercard and visa international credit cards and netteler in the casinos?

im looking to move to uruguay sometime in the near future. are there other interesting cities to live in other than montevideo and punta for nightlife/restaurants etc, possibly near punta? what neighborhoods are best in montevideo?

i assume setting up a bank account and becoming a fiscal resident is fairly easy. how hard is it to set up/register a company and what are the obstacles/costs? do you have to pay any taxes if you are selling software to foreign customers?

what if i would get an apartment through airbnb.com or stay with a friend for example, without real renting contract. could i still open a bank account? if i need an actual contract, are there minimum lease times that landlords require usually? are these legally enforceable?

if you could get some accurate info on that for me, id be glad to ship you 10 bucks on stars, just post your screen name. 10$ more for anyone who has a clue about corporate taxes and what is required to open/register a company in uruguay.

Thank you for the answers!

The summer is ending in February?? I thought the summer season would start in a couple of months? Maybe I'm thinking of another Uruguay lol

Do you know of any places that would be in need of volunteers? Maybe an organization that helps underprivileged children, builds houses for those in need, or something else positive within the community? Possibly something you or a friend has had a good experience with that really gives back to those who are less fortunate? Thanks in advance felgastell

I'm sure that living is cheaper for locals than it was for me as a tourist, but regardless, Montevideo is in no way cheap. And I think it would be a super boring place to live.

Boy the locals sure do enjoy their mate though--EVERYONE is drinking that stuff 24/7!!
Where would u recommend pride? I am looking for a similiar climate, in close relation to decent beaches, and relatively inexpensive cost of living (<1k/month)

Hi there!
Ussually the summer ends on March 21st, but now they are saying on the news that given to meteorlogical changes the heat will stop on february and the rain will start sooner than normal.

About the organization, the only one I had contact with people participating is called Techo, and it is dedicated to build houses for those in need. Here is a link to their facebook page:

October has good weather, I mean spring starts on September 21st, so you would catch middle spring which is the best time of the year imo together with November. (Im not a fan of extreme heat, I'm in prague now :P )

Earlier in the thread people mentioned that weed was cheap and plentiful, but I don't think there was any talk of the quality. Is it good weed?

Yea, I dont mean extreme heat like you're gonna die... I just prefer something like 23-27 C' in spring than the thirty-something you can get during some summer days.

Most good neighborhoods in Montevideo have optic fiber connections available, there are two, 20MB and 50MB, the 20MB is $100 a month. And I didnt have much problem with them, I mean there have been some times the internet goes down but it isnt common at all and it always comes back fairly quickly.
In case you wanna live in an area without optic fiber available, you still can get a 3MB connection for like $50/month, which is almost equilly reliable. I'm in europe now and the internet here isnt much better than Uruguay's, if that answers your question.
