Good answers, thanks. If using a pocket wifi for backup, whats a good estimate for how much data 4-6 tabling uses?

Checking the two, Smart is 4gb for 30 days at 300p. Globe has the same thing but only 1.5gb. I'm in Makati, so assuming coverage is reliable I'll go Smart.

You will be fine, assuming you just use it for grinding/browsing. I used it as my primary connection for a couple of months 6 tabling and it was fine (I would recommend Smart).

dont know how strong it was, but that earthquake felt **** huge. had to travel down 58 flights of stairs. Honestly was pretty scary

Everything is alright, we were evacuated for about an hour outside I think. Did run fire escape 15 floors down and took a good distance to high buildings. Buildings were shaking visibly and it was scary though.

Staying at hostel overnight (low building) in case after quakes comes during night.

Everything is safe no damage in Manila I think

My friend was close the earthquake that happen today, he said it was two, one at 10 sec, next one at 15 sec.

Well, they singled me out (dunno why) for a manual extra-check of my carry-on after the standard X-ray at the NAIA airport security screen. Yes, it's kinda rare, I am a frequent flier, but it happens occasionally. Checked baggage is no better, got into two checks there last two years or so.
Coming in should not be a problem since you can change money in Manila at equal or better rates than almost everywhere abroad, if you shop around a bit (dont do it at RW, their money changer has horrible rates). Just bring USD, other currencies you wont get good rates

Hi! I will be starting my SEA tour from philippines. I need to play on Pokerstars while im there. They need some kind of proof of address but I will be staying at airbnb, so i dont get lease agreement or utility bills. Any idea how to prove PS that im staying in phillippines? Thanks!

Anyone gets the error (-118) when trying to log into partypoker? I have stayed multiple places and played in ph, but the place I got to yesterday, the internet here seems to not let me play on Party. I tried log into using my 4G internet from phone, and then I got the error connection lost, reconnect(Or something), error 101.

I got an VPN and now I can play from my 4G internet. But this is a bit annoying...

Oh ok cool, thanks. I will try that. Last time I was in thailand they closed my account and didnt open it before i sent them proof of address.

1 day in the philippines and I ended up at a multi level marketing place. I guess its called networking here, which explains so many profiles sayinh "NO TO NETWORKING"(which I thought was pretty weird.

I thought it was a comedy club and the hype man was a comedian.

Noped out and am waiting a minimart nearby for their meeting to end. Will see if that was the only reason reason they wanted to meet. Kind of weird this isnt a big thing in other sea countries.
