It seems like everyone here is living in a big city, is there a reason for that? I thought of maybe going to Palawan or Bohol.

Yes, out of big cities internet is horrible and even in big cities its alot of times redicolously bad. Thai has sooo much better internet.

Worst here are prepaid simcards, if you put load to it and dont even use, except connect to wifi it will steadily just use all of your load. If you dont put everyday some promocodo which they promote to you every 5mins with sms.

Maybe when 5G comes things will changes but untill it arrives to Phills will take quite long.

I guess that suck for some people, but if you can just buy the one month internet for 1000 does it really matter?

Not for selling BTC, at the moment they pay 1% less than the Bitstamp rate which is really good IMO.
If you want to buy BTC through them their rate is hefty to say the least.

their prices is all over the place..
- before the pumps, they were in 'remittance pricing mode', underbidding the market, basically a -2% to 0 pricing
- on pumps in which korea is part of, they were super bid and wider, sometimes +3% to +8% as coins.ph is part of a korean group
- as vol decreases, their spread improves and they are indeed usally pricing 'bid' now at -0.5% to +3%

if you say they are garbage.. where is it better according to you? especially for cash out options?

so, went to head office of Bureau Of Immigration on magallanes drive, intramuros, Manila

The purpose was easy, to extend from a non visa entry of less than 30 days for another 29 days .. You go in, go straight to fill in a small form, then they will attach a line number for you to wait your turn to submit it windows 22 to 25 and this waiting goes for about 30 minutes till it's your turn and for submitting it at 10 am, the release schedule to receive your passport back with the new stamp, was 2 PM same day for a cost of 2.130 php. The extension goes from the planned 30th day for another full 29 days, so if you go a week early, you don't lose days... and they even recommended to come 2 weeks early next time for the 6 months extnesion.
While waiting there, I saw some folks with a 'BI Accredited' jacket. So I selected to strike up a conversation with one of them who had about 30 passports in her hands + corresponding big stack of 1k bills.
Basically next time for the 6 months extension, I will let that agent be the one to submit and queue for it. She actually said she would even pick my passport up in Pasay (but not outside Manila), and deliver it back for a cost of 2k for their services and I am not sure how much the 6 months extension will cost.
For a 'developing' country, the West could sure learn a thing or two, with a total of about 45 windows to address the various services offered, very reasonable lines and queing time with modern screens for the number calling, reasonable costs and overall great attitude from everyone. Also, for this first extension and later extenstions, not much needed... just a local address, local phone number.. that's it.. no intrusive documents were required from a local 'sponsor' or proof of anything on your side. Big brother has not yet arrived in this place..

So, this week, the contacted BI accredited persôn just took my passport with some basic local info on my place of stay, no picture or even signature needed.
3 hours later for her 2000 php fee (including pick-up and delivery in some parts of manila), the 6 months extension was in my passport together with the ACR card, valid 1 year for a BOI cost of 10,750 php

Love this country, life is good..

Can anyone recommend buildings in makati/fort/other decent location with pre-installed pldt fiber or dsl besides century properties(gramercy, milano, knightsbridge, etc) and jazz residences? I stayed at gramercy for years, but I was hoping to avoid century properties this time around since they have no soundproofing.
