Your stance seems to be that there is no sufficient evidence/you are not sufficiently convinced that there has been any significant increase in murders or danger levels in the Philippines since Duterte has taken office.

Definitively proving this has made things safer for foreigners would be just as difficult as us definitively proving there has been a significant increase in murders, if not even more difficult. But I'm interested in hearing your opinion/theory on why that may be the case. Uh...genuinely I mean, not being sarcastic.
Personally if my increased safety in the Philippines comes at the decreased safety of some native Filipinos, I'm not really proud of that fact. I guess I'd have to take it, but I'd have a bad taste in my mouth about it.
