Any tips on getting a phone when I arrive in Manila?

If it's unlocked you can buy a sim from the airport that will take care of your needs.
If locked, you'll need a new phone. best for your temp use is a Nokia 107 or similar, really cheap and disposable. Else the whole selection of phones is available in Manila. I'm using the Samsung Note 3 Neo Duos for travel, it's quite useful.

In Philippines, Thailand, and China, I would have to say that most civilians do not even ask for condoms.
Prostitutes, as a general rule, have better education and safe sex practices, and are more likely to use condoms. The key word is more likely, as you say, most will forgo it with little convincing or money if you like that.
That being said, obviously sex with prostitutes is a higher risk activity in general.

Hookers have cleaner pussies than normal girls. FACT. Most normal girls don't even understand showering to clean the puss before sex and expect you to lick their sweaty pussies. Carrier removal is pretty easy. I know USA are the absolute worst for locking phones but rooting phones is fairly easy or you can get most unlocked in malls here for less than 1000 Pesos and this obviously adds value to your phone.

That's because few younger guys are looking to travel to third world ****holes just to get laid, although this is changing rapidly in Thailand (which is far from the ****hole level of the pines) where older guys currently complain about the inflow of young good looking guys, while failing to grasp that no hooker will ever deny them if the have basic hygiene, bearable behavior and the necessary money.

Second phone is ok, but if you can get it unlocked AND tether off it you are saving the 4000PH for the new pocketwifi.

I will go to Burgos if everyone is heading there but not sure they serve the local population. Maybe I am wrong? This is what I have observed on the 10ish times I have been there. Which team are you playing for? The standard will be decent in the cup division, but below that it will drop off pretty quickly. Nomads normally are strong, but this year only the new players want to play (and me, a prop) so we will probably get destroyed.
