Well, if you thought online was worth it before BF, there isn't any reason it wouldn't be now.

I'd assume if you are moving to Philippines you are doing so because you want to play online. In that case Philippines is a cheap as anywhere you'll find, and it has a lot of perks that other cheap places won't, weather, beaches, girls (although this reason always makes me chuckle a bit, after all where aren't there girls,) etc. etc.

Also, PI has better beer and native food then a lot of other cheap alternatives do.

They also do have live poker if you decide you want to go back to that.

If you don't want to play live at all ever, and have never been to South East Asia at all, I'd suggest going to Thailand instead of Philippines.

Although PI does have better beer and food then Thailand, imo anyway.

An expat down here decided to blaze up with a girl at his house. He thought she was texting but she was actually making a nice little video to go and show to the Police. He got screwed for a big fine.

Drugs here are just not worth doing at all. If you can't find some sort of natural high surrounded by cheap alcohol, sexy women and pretty decent scenery then your doing something wrong.

In one of the earlier paragraphs in that post, I did qualify that with the word local. Meaning I think the meals you can get for like 20 - 50 piso, consisting of a dish or two + rice, are better than the meals you can get for 20 - 50 baht in Thailand.

I'm not sure how often you eat meals in that price range, I'm guessing not too often.

If you do, well then, I guess we might just have different tastes. For me, I definitely prefer local Filipino 25 piso meals to local Thai 25 baht meals. Over all anyway.

As for the Beer, I'd find it hard to believe most people prefer Beer Chung to Red Horse or San Miguel, that would be a near travesty.

On the food I definitely prefer Filipino food, but still like Thai food more then a little.

On the beer front though, I consider the Filipino beer to be miles ahead of the Thai beer, not even in the same class, imo.

Actually, if it wasn't for the beer in the food, and maybe live poker, I wouldn't even consider living in Manila over Bangkok, because for every other reason I definitely prefer Bangkok.

I dont know, no offense or anything ITT (we've had a run in before yes?) buy I have put together some MY T FYNE meals in Thailand for 50 - 100 baht. Singha aint bad either (though San Mig Light is the nuts) but the food in Thailand Rocks. I would go to the outdoor food court for fried rice with pork, barbecue wings with that sweet.spicy sauce in the bag, pad grapow moo - kai dow (fried pork with basil and fried egg on top of rice, xtra spicy dish, brings out all that flavor) and that pancake they make right in front of you to order with the bananas and sweet icing and sugar sprinkles. Somboon Seafood in Patpong for the CURRY CRAB (you must experience before you die) AYFKM? (sorry lots of memory lane here) Oh Jesus! LOL I have had good food in the Phils but more the exception than the norm and more expensive on average. Much respect to the Phils though because I end up loving my stays there but it is primarily because of the Filipinas and live poker...All IMO and only IMO...

As far as how the look, and over all interest in and availability to foreigners, I'd say it's pretty close.

After that it depends on what your specific interest are.

If you just want to ****, Phil is probably a bit better, but still it's close.

I'd say if you were actually interested in a, potential, serious relationship Thailand is better by far. Reason for that is, IME anyway, most girls in Phil are either 1. Doing, more or less, nothing at all. 2. Working as semi or full on whores or 3. Working some complete dead end, near meaningless, job with no hope for advancement of any kind.

Alternatively, every single, none hooker, girl I met in Thailand, was either in school (uni) or finished uni and starting to do a legit, interesting job, that actually gave their live meaning and interest.

If I just am looking for short time fun and sex, then the Philippines is all well, and good, and as it turns out, that IS all I want at this point in my life.

But if ever I wanted a real relationship, I know I'd want my girlfriend to be doing something meaningful with her life. Not because I care about her potentially helping out financially, but just because I would want to be able to respect her, and I couldn't respect her if all she was interested in life was making me happy, in exchange for me covering all of our mutual costs. I'd want her to have something that was uniqiuely her own in life as well.

Anyway, there is plenty of good pussy in both countries.

Everyone has their own reasons for choosing one over the other.

What's your reason for choosing Pinoy pussy over Thai pussy?

Wow, just wow I am totally speechless at your assesments.

I am standing here watching the aftermath of a massive car accident, mouth agape and wanting desperately to say something but, there are no words...

Um... Ok, well I guess, as you said, you are speechless.

When the words do come to you, if you would please write them down, I'd be very interested in hearing what it is that you find so off/possibly even offensive in my assessments.

Really I am interested to know.

I think the street food here is actually pretty decent and varied. The main reason is that its simple and hasn't had large amounts of MSG, grease or sugar added to it.

I find it hard to believe that someone would actually drink Red Horse for its taste. The stuff is disgusting.

However San Miguel do make a fine selection of other beers though. Negra, Super Dry and Light are all decently drinkable.

Sorry ITT I know I am coming off to you over the last few posts as a huge douche but I'm not really, just like to laugh a bit and occasionally its at others' expense (Mccotty). Nothing offensive from you, we just think completely opposite and your thoughts with respect to the subject matter of your last few posts are so completely different from what I have come to understand. I addressed the food issues in another post.

No offense but the bolded comment is exactly what I want. You want some chick in SE Asia to be working and progressive like you state and NEED you? You might have some luck with that, It MAY be found but in SE Asia its not likely. If she is standing on her own two feet she is likely more apt to be with a native of her own age group. I am dumbfounded at the persistence of foreigners in these SE Asian countries to slap first world expectations on third world situations. If you want a cute little sexy Thai or Filipina to come home from her six figure job and discuss the direction of pork belly contracts over the next three months good luck. And your expectation of life happily ever after with a xenophobic, spend your money and get out of our country as fast as you can Thai as opposed to a Filipina is shaky at best. (thats a generalization of course) I'm not saying its not possible but it sounds like your expectations in SE Asia are high up on the shelf, higher than giraffe pussy...

And I think that's what most foreigners in the PI and Thailand want. And even if that's not what I want, that is, more or less, how my relationships have ended up going in those two countries.

Here's the thing though, if that's what you want, why bother?

I don't know your age, if your older it makes plenty of sense, but for a young guy like me, I just don't see the point.

Ok, so you're saying you want a girl to pretty much, cook, clean, and ****. Maybe a bit more then that, but mostly that covers what you want them for.

Ok, cool. Let's say we all want that.

Want a girl to cook and clean... why not get a maid? (they are pretty cheap in Thailand, and can be VERY cheap in Phil)

A maid, covers all the domestic chores you were looking for your gf/wife to do, without asking for any extra money (I mean beyond her salary,) and never says anything to you you don't want to hear, or yaps at you about this and that.

Now we are left with the final duty you wanted from a chick --- ****ing.

This is where things get good, since you already have a maid covering all of your domestic chores, you don't need to worry about having just one long term girl for the ****ing, you can play the town, have variety, enjoy all the tastes the Philippines and Thailand have to offer (well maybe not all, but all the ones with a real pussy at least )

This way you have all the good things you were looking for in a gf/wife, without any of the bad things... incessant meaningless chatter, bitching at you about this and that etc. etc.

Seems like an all around win to me.

Oh, yeah, I remember being one of the people to suggest it to you, when you were first considering the trip. But that was this past April, I guess I figured you had already been.

Oh well, enjoy it when you do!

Now we are cookin with gas. Bargirls or hookers are better equipped to fly by night and mostly understand that it was a one night stand thing. (though they invariably try to hang on) With bargirls or hookers (in SE Asia I am talking here) I can pick and choose who I allow into my life without any future expectation or pretense of any relationship. I want the girl to understand tomorrow is not guaranteed and there is NO expectation. The minute she understands that, I feel better about being able to pursue a girl on a longer term basis because she knows and I know that this can all end tomorrow. I can cook clean and can do laundry, I dont really want anything but a sex companion and some sort of routine but one that is not built on any pretenses. The minute there are any pretenses along come the expectations, the bitchiness, the doling out of sex on a ration basis...

From what I have experienced myself (I am probably somewhat older than you but relatively young), and read about in other's accounts, you have to concede a few trade offs in SE Asia in order to pursue a longer term relationship. It just does not work like it does in the west. You, at the very least, are expected to provide for the two of you and most of the time her immediate family. You land somewhere around 4th on her totem pole behind parents, siblings, cousins and maybe even the family dog (especially in Thailand). In return for this she is programmed to try to make you happy and do whatever she has to in order to send the brother to school or provide income to the parents as they age etc. Its just how it is (95% of the time)and I have learned to accept this if I am to pursue a long term relationship there... Might be an extreme way of looking at things but most long term expats know you are dealing with an extreme set of circumstances over there...
