Anyone to ask about living in the Philippines? - Page 102

I have a USD account at BPI and had no problems cashing out through bank wire. They did wire it in euro and I'm not sure exactly what the conversion rate was, but it was in my dollar account within a few days and any conversion fee was small enough that I didn't bother calculating it at the time.

Did you put your dollar account numbers in again for the Euro information that pokerstars asked for when you cashed out?
I think I'll check on opening a Euro account. Since I don't have any Euro, I'll have them mail a check in Euro so I can open it.

I will keep this short, the low and medium buyins(ranging p2k-10k) that go daily or 3 times a week, whatever it is, u can probably ROI near 200 or so. What poker rooms offer the lowest rake in the Philippines? Thinking of taking a long trip & want to grind but I heard the rake is awful. Where can you play 1/2 - 2/5 usd equivalent & make a decent income? I heard makati is good to live/play poker full time. Is this right?

Thanks in advance for the help. I know this has prob been addressed a ton in this thread but I haven't been able to find all the info.

Played a few tournaments and the play is pretty weak tight. From my limited experience expect to get Slowrolled at every showdown.

On the topic of Live Poker does anyone know if any games run in Subic?

does anyone know if PLDT blocks entraction sites? i can log into every site except entraction skins, i cant even get their websites to open up in a browser?

what about victor chandler? i cant login to the client or even access the website on my PLDT, but i can put in my smart bro or tether my iphone, all the sudden the website works and so does the client.

Can someone plaese tell me the best websites to find a place to rent.

Would it be better to book a hotel and have a look when i get there?

Wow nice, gotta try. Jollibee also has online ordering/delivery now. I'll compile a list of the fastfood sites that have online ordering, they finally seem to have followed a bit so there are new options. Very convenient to avoid the 10minute phone conversations and still getting orders messed up.

Also, getting quite nice speed with Smart Rocket. I'm currently downloading at about 400kb/s, which is a 1500% improvement from last week.
I even went ahead and played some poker with it. Somehow FTd a 33R. Can't remember if it was nlhe or plo or how I got chips, but I do remember getting disconnected and unable to reconnect. Probably should have ran to internet cafe but my mind wasn't capable of that kind of advanced thought process at the time.

Conclusion: Lol@MTTs on wifi but nice browsing/downloading.

adding a usb extension cord to your rocket and and setting it near or even outside then window will help a lot with the signal here in eastwood as well.

does anyone know how import taxes work, say if i had a friend from the us ship me some electronics? what about ordering electronics or anything else online from say amazon or newegg, will i get raped on customs taxes?
