Yeah it's all third party operators. Pokerstars moved from COD to Okada (PS at COD was the WOAT in terms of second hand smoke and very run down in general)

PKC has multiple operations, like PS live, so it would seem conceivable that they are able to switch from one place to another. I always thought they had a somewhat reasonable level of organisation (unlike PKC in Macau which is amateur hour in every respect)

Isn’t poker rooms fault but casino uses cheap feeling plastic chips that are slick, light weight, and denominations are falling off.

No smoke but the general attitude of both floor and dealers is awful.

Floor starts new 50/100 game brings all 9 players 1k chips. No smaller denomination in dealer box. I had to argue with multiple floor staff for like hour before they brought me 100 and 500 chips.

Dealer made a procedural error. No biggie it happens. I politely explained correct procedure and why. Looked at me said “whatever, doesn’t matter” and repeated incorrect procedure for all hands of down.

I was there only once, not too long after it opened. No such issues with dealers and chips but IIRC only 2 50/100 and 2 25/50 going on at primetime Sunday 8pm or something. Played less than 2h then moved on to Solaire to play higher stakes

The go to before was nomad travel or something like that. There are a lot of travel insurance plans that are super cheap and have pretty comprehensive coverage, the only catch is that they're only for one year and not renewable after that as they figure you're not really "traveling" anymore. After that, I'm sure something along the lines of "expat health insurance Philippines" in Google should show some results.

Poker isnt really about your speeds, but more about how reliable your connection is.

0.5mbps would be enough if your connection is stable.

I have 5mbps pldt fiber in Davao... so far have been fine for poker. And agree with the others that the speed aint so important than the stability
