dont forget...you say yourself you are LAG (i think thas what youre saying). of course LAG will have far greater swings than i will. to put my thoughts in context, btw: just had a convo in the pool with wifey. told her i am TAG (or like to think/hope i am). the next better player above my style, imo, is a really competent LAG player. one that has great skill post would be the most important. then, above that, would be a really competent multi table tourney player. anyway, just my opinion.

another thing i was thinking about also after my post was volume played. i really dont think i play much at all. i mean, i sometimes feel guilty about how little i play. i know there are a bunch of great players who play 40 or many more hrs/week, and make huge 6figures. i envy them. i also really love my freedom, and that means playing less.

Yes I here ya about not putting in enough hours, I struggle with the same thing. Im gonna have to disagree with your thinking that multitable tourney players are the most skillful. I play only a few tourneys here and there as cash is my bread and butter. However I took 2nd in mondays 1k buy in on ftp this week and at a friends request reviewed all my hands to find a couple interesting ones we could discuss. After about an hour searching my hands in a replayer I was shocked at how few interesting hands there were, to me they all just seemed super standard steal or resteal spots along with a few coolers and races that fortunately went my way. I look through the same number of cash hands and I for sure can find some way more interesting hands to discuss. But hey thats just me I love cash games and always have (but that may be bc I love to bluff and not be out the first time a bluff goes wrong The way I think of it is this, if you let me play god and change the outcome of say 10 hands in a tournament players life I can either make him the greatest or a total unknown player(think 10 bad beats for hellmuth equals zero bracelets), u let me do this to a cash game player and it makes almost no difference in his lifetime results at all.

quickly realized im not a professional blackjack player. at least i was able to win and keep $20 prior to losing it all (turned $10 into a total of $45; lost $25 after transferring $20).

in san diego at a campground right on mission bay that is really nice. will be staying here for 9 more nights. anyone have any ideas about this area? la jollo area is VERY nice. wow. poker continues to go well.

not a good month on poker, so far. bad beat hell today. sum it up: get it ai vs very good player with AAA vs his 999, 9rvr. down 1.1k$ just for today. oh well. still up a bit for the month, but i feel like i have avoided bad beats for so long, and they are all piling up now. many donks ai'ing their flushes and hitting too. if i dont see a flush for a week i will be happy.

things are going pretty good otherwise. just stayed 11 days in san diego. really nice city. now we are in el cajon ca for a bit. have cable and really good internet. a minor rv problem came up with the holding tanks; hopefully that will clear up. if not there might be a repair bill for that.

hope all is well with you people!

bounced back on poker. lost $6 playing UB bj, which upset me to no end.

moving to mesa, az from our current location of sandiego, ca over the next week. will be staying in a resort in az for a month; already paid up. i cant believe how much they charge ($750/month), tho it is supposed to be really nice. its going to be old-folks-tastic.

just made the 150 mile trek from quartzsite to mesa, AZ. we are prepaid for one month here. we are probably the youngest people here, but its a pretty nice place, though i dont know that i like how many rules there are. the dog is pretty restricted here. have hi speed internet and all the major tv networks in HD, in time for the fantasy football playoffs.

we stayed in quartzsite az for about a week, "boondocking". this is living with no hookups, using the rv's self-contained features. we ran out of water on the last day, and i def didnt take enuf showers. "slap nasty"! got to head out on our best off road drive yet. the suzuki does pretty well for itself as a 4x4. saw some abandoned mines and a stone cabin that was about 100 years old or more. loved the freedom out there; i enjoy having a vast expanse of desert on my back porch, and having the dog off the leash most of the time. prices are also lower here on many things than im used to, which is obv +ev!

to the poor sad gentleman who took my "lost $6 on blackjack" post seriously...thats called a "joke", sir. it saddens me to have to ruin it by s-p-e-l-l-i-n-g it out. sigh.

How is it generally being around people a generation older than you? Are you worried you are going to be eating prunes, revolving your schedule around 60 Minutes and having your wife sporting blue hair when this trip is over? Or do you keep it young?

its the worst part about this, besides arguing with my wife. we really have very little in common with anyone we meet. also, some of the places we stay there are people living in their trailers/rv's fulltime at these parks. im talking about an entire family with jobs and kids. its hard to not look at these people as wt. ya, we are living in the exact same situation as them, but our worlds are just so different. i think one of my weaknesses right now is getting out and meeting people, or socializing with people i dont know. i have no interest in doing it on a daily basis, altho i do feel like i want to idealistically, if that makes sense.

haha, before i left i actually began to really like 60 minutes for the first time in my life!

the weather here is horrific. its gusting something like 30mi/hr winds and raining. its like the storm of the century or something. i guess all of usa is getting hit, so we are prolly actually lucky. its frigid and snow some places i think.

made my fantasy football playoffs at least...

Whatever i love 60 minutes except for their pathetic interview about the NBA *not* being rigged.

lol "wt", just say it haha

yea if I had to live with my gf in an RV it'd be a domestic dispute at least once a

I should be in bloomington IN over the next 2 yrs so if you ever swing by let me know. I know Brown County is a really cool park if you like going on trails and stuff like that. Good scenery and probably very cheap cost wise. Also, it's close to Nashville IN which is a little town of shops, if your wifey likes to shop.

This sounds so awesome. Congrats.

Ive been in a bit of a life crisis and want to do some roadtripping in the next couple months. THinking of cruising from AZ to CA maybe up to Oregon and Wash. Back down thru Colorado then hit up alot of TX and to Nashville. Im thinking of theming it to check out micro breweries, casinos, national parks and sporting events, lol alot I know. Ill prob just go where I have friends that will let me crash and I will check out couch surfing. net.

My car is not in the greattttest shape so Im a lil hesitant to go all the way to Washington due to the cold, but it seems like the sites would be really worth it.

wa is pretty cool i guess, but its hard since i have lived there my entire life. i can kinda see why some people think its so beautiful or whatever, since a lot of the places i have been on this trip have been brown/grey/flat.

props if you try to expand your life or do something different than the "american rat race"/corporate ladder. freedom is a great thing.

Is it tough being in basically a one room house when there is a fight since there isn't a "room" to go to and cool off?
