What Books Should I Choose? What Books Should I Choose?

Hello all,

I've received the e-mail confirming that I met Everest's requirements and that the books will be sent out to me whenever I choose them?

I am pretty much a beginner who plays small stakes and enjoy playing a tournament format so I will probably be taking the Harrington books from section A. But can anyone recommend some books from section B for me?

Cheers,
Garr

i took the harrington books.... and then from there i just kinda picked whatever. section A's books look better than B's... so whatever you pick will be fine. maybe try a blackjack book or some of the poker essays

It's worth noting that much of the stuff on section B are really good books. It's really not too smart to choose randomly.

If you play limit hold'em, get "Winning Low Limit Hold'em" by Lee Jones.

Agreed with above: get "Getting Started in Holdem" by Ed Miller

Both "Getting the Best of it" and "Sklansky on Poker" used to be on list A, but have been moved to list B

"Poker Essays" books are good, as well as "Poker, Gaming and Life"

On the other hand, you may not find much value for your game in Suzuki's "tournament poker" or "the poker farce and poker truth".

Hi Guys,

Thanks for your advice. I have decided on 'Getting Started...', 'Winning Low Limit' and 'Sklansky on Poker'.

Much obliged!
