So i signed up for the bonus program playing $1 sngs which gives me 1 player point per sng. I got up to 86 player points. I tried to log in today and my account was supended, emailed them and they told me it was permanantly suspended. My initial deposit was $25 and I currently have $24.

I phoned them and they said my account had been banned due to unusual activity. The guy said that I had been flagged because I was only playing $1 sngs, so I told him I couldnt afford to play any higher and that I was new. He then said that, I had deposited $25 and now had $24 with 86 player points and there was no history of me playing any hands. So i asked him how I could have managed to play 86 sng's and play no hands and end up with $24.. he hung up.

Also they've kept my $24 aswell

Do you still have e-mails of you registering there or e-mails of you finishing SnG's or maybe screenshots?
If so you can use those as proof.

What a scam btw, thanks for the heads-up to your fellow players.

I have registration e-mails, but no screenshots or emails of me winning.
I checked my pokerroom folder in program files and I hadnt saved the hand history. There is a file however called User######statistics which is a database file and is 10MB, surely that has some of my hands recorded.

Im beginning to think theyve made up a lie and closed my account because they were about to have to cough up money for books, sounds ridiculous but it's all I can think of.

Never. He never gave collusion as a reason., even if he did I havent played with my mates on it, none of them play poker.

I've emailed them saying what I was told on the phone. I'm gonna phone again after, I'm not leaving it man because seriously I've been ****ed here.
Wasted my time playing 85 sng's and they keep my money.

Cant really disagree that their support isnt good (well online anyway). They reply very quickly, which was helpful in finding out the problem in the first place. It can only be a mistake, but they wont even review it and theyre keeping my money.

I'll keep trying

This sounds pretty strange and I hope you get it worked out. I haven't played on PokerRoom for a long time but they don't seem to be the type to screw over a player for $24 for no real reason. By all means, keep pushing the issue with their CS department since it sounds like some sort of mistake that can be worked out if you give them enough grief about it.

Do you have the screennames of any of the players you played against? If they can't find any hands you played, maybe you can give them some of the other players and ask them to check if they played any hands with you, and get them to confirm it the other way around.

Their customer service call centre is in Africa, Im from Scotland. I asked them to put me on to their manager he said there was no-one above him. He said he couldnt dicusss anything further as it was perma banned. I asked for the head office address for a lawyers letter and he said he didnt have one.

****ed man, pathetic at best. I was on for 20 mins and hes reading the terms and conditions to me as if im thick. I asked him if he payed poker and he said no..... how the **** does he know what im talkin about then

Sounds pretty crappy if true. Sorry to hear it.

You might post this on the Internet Gambling forum as well to see if others there have had similar problems and if they have any suggestions.

I also have problems with Pokerroom. I'm glad that I don't have to play on this site anymore. My advice: Dont play at pokerroom!

Sorry that's funny !

Every time I hear stuff like this it makes me happy about my decision to only play live poker.

It's worth all the effort.

how is this funny?

If the guy on the phone isn't helping you could create a new account, ring them up, complain about a deposit not going through and get put through to someone higher up and then discuss the real problem.

I have to agree with the above poster as far as playing live. It is much safer then playing online but hey if you love the game, you take it home with you.

Let me know how this turns out, very interested.

I just wanted to say that I deposited with them, played my required hands to qualify for the books and withdrew my money. My books were shipped yesterday.

The only thing I will say is, I thought that as they are on the ONGame network that they would have microstakes games available. This was not the case and the cheapest NLHE stakes were 15/30c. I had a couple of badbeats early on and nearly lost my deposit. I then started playing Limit Hold 'em and quickly accrued the necessary points and made back my initial deposit.

As soon as I had enough points I withdrew my money and had no issues whatsoever. I just wanted to post a positive experience as it is often only the bad experiences that are posted.

Oh dear...
That's pretty shocking...
certainly makes one think twice about depositing if there's a chance of not being able to withdraw... They should have at least have let you withdrawn your own cash.

Isn't that Illegal? To disallow you from withdrawing your own money?

Not if you're colluding/chipdumping. PR is a pretty reputable site, so this sounds dodgy imho.
