I spent the evening trying to set up PerpetuumPoker and getting things ready to make a run on the site. I was getting bored of OnGame and decided to do a little affiliate grinding through 2+2.

I don't even know where to start...

2+2 says.... ahem::

"One VIP point is rewarded for every hand you have been dealt cards in and which has been raked with €0,31 or more, regardless if you have put money into the pot or not. See the site for details."

This is greatly in error. In fact, not only does their site claim you will not get anything if you don't contribute, but I played some tonight and ended up with exactly 0 VIP.

Obviously, this REAL scenario is exponentially harder to grind off than the one described on 2+2, and is VERY misleading to any kids it is guiding off to the site.

Now this brings up yet another issue. B2B is just a dead network. I only found 3 lousy limit tables on the whole network! It is an R.I.P. site. And somehow... I managed, as unbelievable as it may seem, to find a 9 handed NL table! I sat there for a bit, got zero Vips (because it is contributed only, and no flop no drop). And before you could say "all-in" the table promptly just broke up and that was the end of it.

Ohh, and the fact that I could not get a god damn hand history to reccord, or PO or PT to get running right, is yet another complication.

I do understand 2+2 is new to the whole affiliate thing, so there is bound to be problems. But I do expect a brand name like 2+2 to at least be more knowledgable with whom they affiliate with. Perhaps they figured B2B would fill up after this promotion, but that just isn't going to happen.

Tomorrow is Saturday, so just maybe there will be some tables going on due to it being the weekend, I don't know yet. However, what I DO know is that any kids guided to this site are basically never going to get their precious books. I just don't see it considering the horrendous vip structure, and issue of no traffic.

Now, it's nice that they offer Stud tables, etc. But as I have just pointed out, there is just so little traffic. In fact, there was no one even sitting on any stud table. I ended up trying to get a 1-2 limit HE table going, and wondered why am I the one doing a prop-job for them when I'm not getting a salary for this.

I'd much rather spend my time off browsing Shemale porn from Brazil. At least THAT would be stimulating...

With regards you getting 0 VIP points, you might want to check them today (or when their server resets) as on some of the sites, your points will not seem to increase for 3-4 hours, and in some cases you wont know until the next day.

With regards the rake, maybe when 2+2 became an affiliate with them it was different, but now, according to their site, it should be this:

Perpetuum Poker uses a weighted contributed rake system. One VIP point is rewarded for each €0.40, which has been contributed in rake. When a player bets money into the pot, he/she also contributes an amount into the rake. The amount of VIP-points awarded to the player per hand is based on the player’s contribution into the pot and consequently into the rake. If the player’s rake contribution is less than €0.40, then the player is awarded with the partial VIP-points. The maximum rake, which can be taken from the pot is €3, thus the player can earn up to 3,75 VIP-points per hand. The players that do not contribute any money into the pot are not rewarded with any VIP-points.

I have PM'd the above info to Kiera, so hopefully it will be updated asap.

And finally with regards the player base on the site. That really has nothing to do with 2+2, and 2+2 can only help grow Perpetuum Poker's base, and they do this by offering this great reward for signing up to these sites. The site might have had very few people on it on a Friday evening, since it seems to be based in Europe, and a lot of people go out on Fridays, so as you say, it might have more today

Unfortunately the sites are not required to let us know when they change their rake structure or point accumulation rules. I updated the bonus page to simply say: "Please see site for details on earning VIP points".

I don't want to risk another change on their part and end up misrepresenting this again. I would rather ask the player do some research than mislead anyone. Hopefully that is a good compromise?

Just to point out, 2+2 doesn't get anything from the sites if you do not complete the book bonus. I don't want it to seem like we are tricking anyone into playing at a site where the conditions for making the bonus are difficult. In the beginning we just tried to get as many sites as we could so that you have lots of options.

Please keep posting and let us know how it goes.

@Kiera:
also the bonus codes for 2p2 offer at playboy poker are those from december and not valid anymore (they change every month), so you should better ask the player to check the site at the very moment of his sign-up...

good point. Fixed for playboy and Interpoker for that matter ... I think. Let me know if the wording could be better.
