Partypoker Question Partypoker Question

I posed this same question to the PartyPoker support team, and i thought it couldn't hurt to ask it heré as well...

I have signed up through twoplustwo.com and used the bonus code TWO25 to receive a $25 bonus, and 5 free books from twoplustwo. However, none of these bonuses appear in my bonus details section.

After checking the requirements for the bonus I discovered that i had to make a $50 deposit to get the $25 bonus, and i only deposited $25. What i want to know is this: Does this mean I also lose the 5 free books bonus, or do i simply miss out on the $25 cash bonus, but still get the 5 free books from 2+2?

If not, can I still make another $25 deposit and still be eligible (for the books)?

Also, i can't seem to find an option anywhere to check how many raked hands I've played...

From our understanding, if you earn the 5 party points you should be eligible for the book bonus. You will have to get an answer from PartyPoker regarding the other part of this bonus offer.

Can anyone confirm that the bonus clears at 5 raked hands / $1 and not 4 PP / $1?

This is a SIGN UP bonus. You will only be eligible for the books if you enter the bonus code when signing up. You cannot become eligible for the bonus if you have an account already and enter the bonus code when depositing. It does not matter if you had previously only used play money.

From the PartyPoker page on 2+2:
"This bonus is released when you play 5 times the bonus amount raked hands"

PP bonuses haven't been 5x RH in at least 6 months. Is the 2+2 bonus really still 5 raked hands per $1?

For now, until I confirm otherwise, assume that they changed their end of the bonus without letting us know. (they aren't required to)

Hi,

I recently cleared the Partypoker bonus and book offer. I think this deal is exceptional value. I would like to offer my opinion of the experience for other 2+2 readers as a list of Pros and Cons

Pros-:

1.You only have to play 250 raked hands (5pts?) at ANY level. I wasn't completely certain of the details, but it was very easy.
2. All Players who are on the table are participants in the raked hand.
3. I played micro limit ring table and cleared the bonus in about a day
4. The 20% money offer on your deposit represents exceptional value
5. You can always get at least one or two ring table games.
6. There is a beginner level that lasts for 45 days

Cons-
1. Partypoker's rake is to high at the lower limit Sng's. The Sng's are 20% which is terrible. The very lowest limit tables are twice as much in rake as the next limit (10-20) so I recommend playing at the 10-20 micro level. Here the rake is reasonable as are the higher limits.

2. There are less Sng's and MTTs then some of the bigger sites like (Pokerstars or Full Tilt). In fact the traffic in general seems smaller.

3. A weird log in sequence sees two pop up windows appear over the main screen. I normally just clicked them off and then logged into the main screen. This then tries to search for Internet explorer, which does not load on my machine ( I use a different browser), which I have to close down to reach the lobby. Very eccentric. Furthermore, when you finish the session a pop up is always left on screen to be closed. In my opinion, logging into and out of Partypoker is an unnecessary hassle, more annoying then dis-functional.

4. I could not view prizes being offered in tourneys without registering. I could unregister after viewing, but thats not the point.

Nevertheless, overall, in regards to the books, the experience was good. I recommend this offer to any 2+2r who is considering it. You wont be locked into a site where the negatives outweigh the positives for very long. Furthermore, some of the poker games appear to be quite reasonable, even if the software is a bit ordinary.

cheers,

Firegoat, how does the sign-up bonus clear? 5 Raked Hands per $1 in bonus or 4 PP per $1?

Not completely sure even though I did clear the bonus last month. It basically kicked in somewhere between 5-25 PP. Sorry I can't be more clear about it as I was slightly confused about the process at the time. However, I didn't have time to worry because the offer cleared it in two days at micro limit.
I reckon your pretty safe going for the maximum $100 within a week at micro limits.

cheers,
