I guess this means the end of the 2+2 bonus at PP.

I cannot check if this is true until Monday because I'm in the USA and cannot legally play at Paddy but something doesn't smell right... there is no mention on the Paddy home page and there is nothing mentioned at any of the poker news sites that I can find. Where did you get this message? There is nothing stating this on the Paddy home page.

You can also send a PM to Paddy's 2+2 friendly rep - PPPionapaul - he might be able to fill us all in, the contact numbers are below . I tried calling the international number but it was busy.

I would assume it's legit. I received it as an email to an address that I have only used to sign up to PaddyPower. Besides, I can't see any dodgy purpose to it unless it's some disgruntled employee trying to damage the company.

I have just had a live chat with a manager who confirmed this information is legitimate and correct. When asked,he was apologetic that no information as to why or for how long was currently available.

Really? This is quite concerning. I'm not aware of any US style legislation that impacts upon Australian poker players. What other reason could there be for them closing to Australian players only? I would hate to see Australia go the way of the US.

This is the 2nd thread I have seen pop up on this subject.

This only affects those in Austrailia and it should hopefully be a temporary thing.

Some more details on this:

As Noel stated, this only affects players based in Australia; Australian players based elsewhere are not affected. Access to our sportsbook will still be facilitated, and funds held in players' poker accounts will be transferred into their sportsbook accounts, where they can be withdrawn. Players can continue to bet in the sportsbook.
