I opened an account on betfair to get the 5 books.

After i opened the account i got an email where they told me that i have to conrifm my age!

why this? has anyone else had to do this?

I think everyone has to confirm their age otherwise I don't think you can cash out. Still waiting for the 2+2 confirmation though. Not sure if me waiting a long time to confirm my age had anything to do with the long promo confirmation wait.

How do they ask you to confirm your age? do they ask for id to be sent? or just an email?

I also got this message when i signed up to betfair. I just skipped that part. They still allowed me to make a deposit and withdraw.
I hope this does not affect my 5 free book promotion. Ive been waiting for awhile for these books and will be pi**ed off, if for some reason they dont arrive.

I just emailed them scans (front and back) of my driver's license. You can also mail photocopies of your documents to them.

This is standard practise for most UK sites unless you've deposited using a method that only over-18s have access to.

Also just emailed my driving licence.

Now i got an email from betfair because i asked when i get the bonu for the 5 books

Answer from betfair: "Thank you for your e-mail.

You become eligible for the bounty when you have had 30 euro of matched and settled bets on the exchange. The request to verify you age has no bearing on the bounty being credited."

What does this mean? 30euro? i thought i just play 1 hand and im eligible for the bounty?
