Hi I'm just wondering how much you have to play on any of the sites for your free books to get sent out? I'm aware it varies from site to site, so just a rough idea would be good from someone who has done it themselves. I dont really want to have to deposit a lot and play loads on a brand new site just to get the books.

I was in a good mood and crunched the numbers for you:

Pacific: $25 rake
Everest: app. $6 cash full-ring rake (slightly more tourney / short-handed rake)
Hollywood: $360 tourney rake (slightly more cash rake)
Paddy Power: $65 tourney rake (cash rake depends on limit and short-handedness)
Party: $2.50 tourney rake (cash rake depends on limit)

For Party, Everest, Pacific and Paddy Power, these are probably among the best kickback deals available, if you like the available books.

For Hollywood, there are certainly better deals available.

So if would i have to sign up and complete the bonus for each of the sites to get the books or do i just have to sign up to one site?

Also at the moment im only playing $1 SNG/MTTs at pokerstars, how long do you think it would take to clear the bonuses on the other sites playing that low level?

I found the everest bonus the best (easiest) and currently finding the hollywood the worst (but good deposit match bonus if you can play enough)

Ive got 2 months off before i go to uni so i can play quite alot. At pstars i usually play 6-8 SNGs a day (im only started last month so i only do 2 tables at a time). Some days i do some big MTTs.

But still if 10 per week = 180 weeks then it would take me 36 weeks doing 50 a week...

wow the party poker rake seems an awesome deal! how exactly did you find this info out?

everest seems good too but a good friend of mine strongly advises me against using them after he deposited a chunk of money, got the books sent out, but then tried to cash his money out a few weeks later and they froze his accounts for a ridiculous reason and he is still no further with it a matter of months on!! not sure if they are well known for messing people about but it was enough to put me off.

Go to http://www.twoplustwo.com/poker-bonus/ and click on the link of the site you want to know about. Then you get all the necessary info, including the number of player points needed to get the books. As a bonuswhore, I know what number of player points is equivalent to what amound of rake, for most pokersites. And for the pokersites I didn't know about, I looked it up on the pokersite's main website.

Yes, well it was for me anyway. I think i could have deposited over $250 just to get the transfer back, but i just waited for the cheque in the post.
Dont worry i'm sure you will get any money deposited back, just not as quick as say PaddyPower (who transfered back to my account no problem).

Can take upto 2 weeks, but should not be longer than a month.

You will get e-mailed to the address you signed upto the bonus program on the 2+2 page. Log back into the 2+2 bonus page and pick your books, they should arrive 7-8 days later (mine did anyway

)
