We are in the money and 227 left (279 got paid). I played 0 hands till the bubble burst at the end of the first level of the day. I showed 1 hand so far: I shoved AA UTG for 10 BB and got paid by AJ in the BB.

Blinds 800/1600, I have 26000 (16,5 BB), 8 handed. An old guy with a stack over 100K opens UTG +1 for 4000 (he seems to be a decent player, fairly active for his age, I saw opening J8s in early position earlier), HJ calls with a big stack and I'm in the CU with KJ.

I go all in and the button reshoves with AK and my tournament is over. The caller on the CU folded another AK.

Did I play well? Thanks.

Don't post results so fast next time

Don't think it's optimal to squeeze shove here with a shirt stack vs an early opener especially without Ace blockers/showdown value.

Not enough fold equity for you?

I was expecting hands like AJ or 77 to fold.

KJ is such garbage in this spot. the odds on getting everyone to fold with your stack is not good and you are so easily dominated.

But congrats for cashing. Good Job.

Vs some Utg ranges /loose tables-this is prty decent shove
Vs others it's kinda spewy but not hella awful

ebet, is this bc we expect a high frequency of folds? Bc we have decent equity when called? A little of both? Something else entirely?

Does KJs slide more toward a shove or a fold if we are at a pay jump?

I think the biggest factor here is the CO's range and stack size. Your squeeze looks exactly as advertised and you're going to have a hard time getting folds with 6.5BBs already in the pot when you shove for 16.5. You'd be better off making this play with 25~ BBs expecting to generate a lot of folds unless you run into a monster. With this in mind, my bluff squeeze range with his stack size would probably be something like 89s,109s/x,J10s/x, JQs/x mostly because I don't have terrible equity against the monsters I run into and that's pretty much all I'd expect to get called by
