Folding a5o is probably much better than either

Re: ***HSMTT QUICK CHECKUP THREAD***

Fold because of the reverse implied odds and playing hand out of position. . . Easy fold IMO

Re: ***HSMTT QUICK CHECKUP THREAD***

last 21 early 100r. villain is ryanwelch. running the table over and we are randoms to him
BB is sitting out
for some orbits me and BTN had reshove stacks and villain was kinda selective and careful not to be shoved on but when BTN doubled he was safe again to open when folded to him into two 30bbs stacks

should i even bother to mess with him instead of picking easier spots just by opening and surviving ?

shoving range/if any. r/c range ?

With BB sitting out I think shoving is the best play for sure.

$500+50 live

I have roughly 50k. average is around $30k. 30-40 people left. 10 paid. Blinds are 500/1000/100. I showed 95o on a blind steal that turned into two pair. I knocked a guy out on a squeeze play from the small blind where I flopped a set. I've chosen a few spots to steal blinds, but generally played tight. I have AQo. and make it 2600 from MP. I've stolen BB's blind before about 3 times. He goes all in.

Is his range JJ+ & AK?
or should I call?

live players generally dont adjust by shoving wider, they (incorrectly) just flat wider pre when they think you are getting out of line too often...

fold. (given limited info in OP)

    Just cuz you're a reg/super-reg and arguably the most consistent MTT'er :}.

Definitely an icky spot, I am leaning towards folding.

Hero bets 162, BTN raises to 400, Hero calls 238

Early big162. Villain is 15/11/4 (370 hands lifetime), and is a reg.

Does anyone ever fold flop? What is your call range?

If we assume he 3b QQ+, flats 22-JJ. I guess it's dumb for him to ever be raising 44-77 here, but there are still going to be XXhh combos too obv.

I don't get it, without bounty he'd call every single hand that beats us, so all extra hands that he calls because of the bounty are bonus for us? I guess the bottom of our regular pushing range that we fold here would be small suited connectors -type things?

$82 Hyper: My image is kind of psycho to a recreational player.

Do you like flat and shove over flops, shove pre, or just fold? I don't think he plans on r/fing much but he is full 3xing in a hyper so he's probably not too great.

3 folds, SB raises to t1200, Hero?

You prolly have no chance of making him fold on the given the times he doesn't cbet are prolly low anyway. Possibly pre you have a little fe but doubt it. I think its just a fold pre. He also probably isn't opening as wide as he should.

Irish Open €3500 liveament early day 2.

Old guy who won the Irish Open in 2004, looks ridic hung over and has been playing very erratically (has a couple of time shipped 50bb pre over a minopen, bet >3x pot postflop) opens from HJ, to 1600 at 300/600/50, I flat SB w AJo, kid makes it 5100 from BB. Old guy folds. Effective stacks ~50k. Played with kid for a few hands the night before, reasonably aggro nothing crazy. No reads at all as to how he plays postflop. In order of prererence: f, c, r/f, r/c, shove?

Fold if the BB is even moderately not-dumb, old guy is clearly oi and his range should be really value-heavy
