T otr is pretty much blank, so if you believe you`re good often enough ott guess you should call river.
But I think I`d fold turn.

Snapcall with the AA. Your range looks like a flush draw or pair (99 etc). And if anyone could shove 33 with max fold equity it would be Lipo. The hand is a straightforward call though.
    07-25-2013 , 07:26 AM
Thats an interesting spot w AA.
I might check flop with As.
As played I just want to fold turn to that sizing but im not sure i would lol.
Once you take this line and c/c turn it seems you are mostly c/folding river and he can try to barrel you off so if we dont fold turn i think we have to call that riv.
Also, i wonder if we can c/f or c/shove our whole range OTT so we wouldnt have a tough spot OTR?

obv just my 2 cents as i dont play s500 so lmk if my thinking seems way off.

Does the fact that its saturday superknockout makes c/calling turn and blank rivs alot worse?

Hijack is young Asian just sat down at table a few hands ago so no reads he has about 35k in chips. He opens to 1,000. Hero is in the cutoff with about 7,000 has A8s jam or fold?

I don't play very much live poker and I had the impression people did not have proper ranges. Especially when they had the opportunity to raise 1st. Very simple standard spot just wanted to hear some thoughts.

Im def jamming this unless I'm at a totally cake table.

        MB closer vs Asian, right?

It has to be a shove vs anyone who doesn't look like a nit.

$3,000 buy in live event in Perth. Blinds are at 600/1200, I've got 18,000 (15bbs) and K5s on the button. The big stack, who is a good player and has been very active preflop when folded to him, makes it 2400. Is this a jam?

Where did the big stack open from? I would prefer making this kind of move, if there weren't two people left to act.

If he's any good he's definitely cslling too wide to make it profitable.

These are 'lazy' questions.... How much % of hands he opens, how much % of that he calls? Go and put into Pokerstove what hands you expect him to do what with and then calculate how much money you make if he folds, how much if he calls and see if its +EV or -EV.

imo fold on the turn, iff you dont think hes doing it as a bluff ever. As played with sizing considerations he's rather polarized to sets, busted FDs, straights, busted SDs (less of these latter two imo). That you have the As makes it impossible for him to have a nutted FD, but this deep I think that still leaves alot of FDs in his range, its just a question of what % of his range is comprised of bluffs vs nuts...this early in tournament I'd be inclined to fold turn and not risk all those chips estimating that very uncertain % since as you said you dont know villain aside from his rep...or if you think hes on a FD/SD enough on turn there's a case that could be made for jamming (given his odds of having to call it off and you avoid disgusting rivers).

All that said imo fold turn > call turn >/= shove turn

$215 BI, far from the money. Villain is a winning reg. 16/13 over 277 hands. I've watched him enough to know that this is his standard open-raise sizing. From the CO, he is 24/24 over 33 hands. With a 16-25 BB stack, he is 14/12 over 92 hands.

$215, Final two tables, ITM. $5,100 up top. BTN is reg MSMTT poster TurbulencE 22/18 over 237 hands, BB is a high-stakes crusher. For $165BI tourneys over 400 tourneys, BB has an 85% ROI. BB is 28/25 12.5%3bet over 97 hands.

Was obviously looking to 3-bet/GII against BTN. How do we respond to BB's 4-bet shove, however?

easy fold vs Kleath type crushers.
closer vs laggy regs, but still a fold unless you were 3betting a ton.

dynamics dependent and you said nothing about it as well as about your own image.
