150$ QQ facing 3 barrels on KKxxx board for stack 150$ QQ facing 3 barrels on KKxxx board for stack

15 players left. We are ITM and I got around 2.5x avg.
Havn't played a lot on Stars so no history, but Villian was raising and 3betting a lot after becomming CL at table.
I'm expecting him to play back at me a ton if I 3bet pre and I don't wanna play for stacks for ICM reasons, so I flat.

I'm expecting him to bet into me on almost every flop. I think he realizes that I don't have K's in my range other than AK and KK, so I'm expecting him to 3 barrel fairly often.

Is river an automatic call or can I find a fold b/c of ICM?

i think you can find a fold here vs most villains

river shouldn't be an automatic call. i think you can fold unless villain is mindless aggro type of guy, otherwise i'd assume he's aware of his image, plus it's not really a great board to triplebarrel on, sizing screams value somehow too. around 1/2 pot twice and then just shove river.

easy river fold imo with that overshove

I think turn is somewhat close. def fold river.

Thanks for all the answers.

I question my turncall more than my rivercall although i spent my timebank on the river when it should have been spent on the turn.

When I was deciding on the river I had several things in mind;

- The guy had been very active at the table since getting a big stack
- I called preflop expecting him to fire on every flop
- I wasn't expecting him to balance his bluff frequency. If there ever was a time with ideal stacks to 3barrel-shove, this would be it. I was expecting a flopbet all the time, a turnbet most of the time and a riverbet every time he bet turn.
- I thought the lack of K's in my range would affect his decisionmaking more than it should.

Anyway, I decided to call the river and happened to be right this time, but I'm not at all convinced that it was the right decision. It is definately a fold on turn against most players and possibly against this guy too.. I guess I wont know.

You just have to be right here way too much on that river for it to be a good call. I just don't see why you are not three betting getting it in with your stack at this point with QQ
