After sizing for my 3-bet?

Also his raise was from MP2 and is a tightish player pf 14/11 (110)

Do we get away if he 4 bets?

3b to ~900 and don't fold! You only have 26 bb to start the hand.

yah and after the 3 bet we still have 20BBs

The only thing that made me think about this hand is this players 3bet range is most likely nutty. JJ and AK at worst.

Any shorter and i think this would be standard 3b/call or shove. But against a 14/11 MP2 raise i was left wondering....

Others thoughts?

14/11 isn't crazy nitty or anything. Easy 3b/call, if you really think his 4bet range is JJ/AK, then I hope you'd be 3b/folding a bunch of air here.

3b/c 26bb not enough to fold JJ after 3bet....he opens HJ and not utg so u look lighter and makes his 4b shoving range wider so i doubt he is shoving as tight as u think he is.

I 3bet to 1K and I prob jam to any 4 bet. Just courious why calling wasnt an option for you here. Once you 3 bet I think your comitted, not sure im folding here after committing 1/4 of my stack to a 3 bet at this level.

smaller the better. let him think your giving yourself a good price on a steal and let him think he has FE

i would 3b to 900 -- not mutch more ! you want to induce the more possible with your hand !

you cannot 3b/ fold in this situation.

Thanks for the input guys...

Stevepa... To be honest with 30bb+ my range from 3b range from sb vs tags who open from late position DOES include a lot of air... But this air range diminishes with smaller stack size such as here...

Dabaddestchic: calling is def not an option here for me because there aren't many flops I'm gonna like and those with undercards I'm gonna go broke on anyway so might as well 3bet preflop. Basically the times I call oop in this situation it's much easier for any player (even the donks) to outplay me postflop

Curious as to what most ppls 4bet range will be here assuming ur the villain to a sb 3b who has 26bb and is effective?

What I was implying was that if his 4bet range is so tight that you're not happy getting it in to a 4bet then you should absolutely be 3betting 100% of hands because he's just raise/folding absurdly often. Stack sizes are near irrelevant until you get deep enough where he's going to be calling the 3bet often.

Basically your impression of his 4betting range is almost certainly wrong. 88/AQ with a bit of extra spaz (suited broadways/aces, other pairs) seems like a reasonable range.

Ah ok... If my assessment of his range is this far wrong then yeah with jj 3b/fold is most def NOT an option.

Started playing hsmtt recently and still finding my feet with these 20-30bb preflop spots so thanks for the advice here guys...

All in is fine too btw. Looks weaker than 3b to some players.
