Are there any poker rooms in Marseille? cause I am going there for a weekend in october. The closest casino I found is in AIX-en-provence called Pasino
which is part of the Partouche group, but this is 30 km away. Also I would prefer to play at blind level of 1/2 euros or less, wheres is the minimum according to that site is 2/4.

What is the fee at Cercle Wagram? I am staying in Paris (Saint-Augustine) until Jan 1 and don't want to pay the 100EUR membership fee for 5 days of poker.

Sorry, my Francais is tres mal to say the least, so Anglais only for me.
05-26-2011 , 12:07 PM
is the membership fees for poker only or for all gambling in general?
05-26-2011 , 01:02 PM
The membership is for all gambling in general.
05-27-2011 , 05:37 AM
any answer to the cercle wagram fee?
05-27-2011 , 06:40 PM
The fee is €100 if I remember well.
05-28-2011 , 04:15 PM
what about haussman? is the 100 euro standard for all casinos?
05-28-2011 , 05:18 PM
Haussman's fee is €100 as well, which is the standard for all poker rooms (there's no fee for casinos).

I've heard that the ACF allows foreigners to play without paying the €100 fee if they say that they are only there for a few days. You might want to try this.

Hi all, I found this thread a great help to me in deciding where to play poker while I was in Paris. Ended up playing 4 nights at Aviation Club, so will update what I noticed.

-----

- Dress rule is not that strict. Seems to be as long as you're not wearing slippers or non-designer sneakers you can get in.

- 100 Euro membership fee. (I tried to pull the "only in town for 4 days" and it didn't work)

- Cash games include NL 2/2, 2/4, 5/5, 5/10 and 2/4 Dealers Choice with 10-game mix. Pretty big waiting list on all nights I was there, sometimes had to wait an hour to sit down. I stayed until 7am on all nights, and there were still plenty of tables going on at this time.

- Non-smoking venue with a dedicated smoking room very close to the poker room by the toilets. They don't sell smokes, but you can buy cigs right outside the venue on Washington street.

- Tipped the waiters 2 Euros for every drink

- Stack sizes varies, but from what I noticed on 2/4 is that most people prefer to buy in very short.

- Entrance was hard to find as it was covered by scaffolding at the time.

- Tournaments running everyday at different stakes, you can pick up a copy of the schedule inside.

Anyways that is all I can think of. Great venue and good value.

Hi,

I'm wondering if anyone has played at Pasino in Aix en Provence and whether the barriers to entry were similar to that of the Parisian casinos. Membership fee, uncapped rake, etc. All thoughts/experiences appreciated. Thanks.
09-14-2011 , 02:19 PM
There is no membership fee for casinos.

In Paris for the next few days. Went to the Aviation Club this afternoon and they are charging the 100 Euro membership fee. Would like to play, but will probably only get one night in and do not want to pay the fee for just that short amount of time.

Didn't see anything in this thread, so just to be clear, has anyone found any rooms here that don't charge a membership fee?

Looking for PLO action in Paris, 2-4, 5-5, 5-10, 10-10 range.

Aviation Club de France (but the fee is 150€ for the year, and it's impossible to avoid it)

or Cercle Clichy Montmartre (the fee is like 40€ i think, but don't know if they have PLO tables), Cercle Cadet or Haussman (don't know about the fee, probably in the 40-100€ range)

Wagram is closed (corsican mafia)

I'm used to play PLO at Cercle Cadet, 2/2 or 2/4.

There is everyday a dealer choice table too.

The club is located 14 rue Cadet 75009 Paris.

You'll have to pay a 30 euros entry fee (for 1 year) and need a passport or an ID card.

(I'll post a complete description of the club soon)

hope this help.

As promised,
here is a complete description of Cercle Cadet:

Things have change in the past followings months for live poker in Paris.

Some clubs have been closed and now there are only 3 left:
- Cercle Cadet
- Aviation Club de France
- Cercle Clichy Montmartre

One important thing to notice is that all clubs ask for annual fee. You must note that "annual" means "until 31 December". Then it's not a good idea to become a member on the 15th of December for example. Fees are the followings:
- Cercle Cadet : 30 euros
- Cercle Clichy Montmartre : 40 euros
- Aviation Club de France : 150 euros !!!

In this post, I'll mainly speak about Cercle Cadet wich is the one I know best, I'll put a few words about Cercle Clichy Montmartre and ACF has already benn discussed in this thread.
- Aviation Club de France: http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/sh...&postcount=111

- Things to know before getting in:
- A passport or ID card is mandatory to become member. You must be at least 18 years old.
- Dress code is not strict
- If you come with your girlfriend, you have to know that she'll not allowed to stay close to you when you're playing at the tables.
- there is a smoking area just in front of the club

- Games available:
- NLHE 2/2 (50 euros minimum buyin)
- NLHE 2/4 (100 euros minimum buyin)
- NLHE 5/5 (250 euros minimum buyin), not available all time but often, hourly rake.
- PLO 2/2 (50 euros minimum buyin), almost everyday
- PLO 2/4 (100 euros minimum buyin), very often, mainly in the evening.
- Dealer choice 2/4 (100 euros minimum buyin), everyday

Regular tournaments:
- Everyday at 3 PM - NLHE 50 euros
