Impressive enough to discourage me.

Ultimately is the plan to compete in BJJ at some point? I'd assume there'd be weight classes if so - any goals in mind asking those lines or just playing it by ear?

183 weight division sounds about right

The plus here is no love handles. The minus here is that them abs barely starting to show up.

Thanks man. Ya I'm planning on competing pretty soon. Weight classes near me are 181, 194.5, 207. You weigh in with the gi and that weighs about 4 lbs. And you weigh in like 1 hour before the matches so you can't really cut.

I was planning to get to 175-180 ish. I'm changing my training up a lot. I'm only going to lift 2 days a week, do slow cardio two days a week and do bjj as much as I can

Awesome.

I'd think, assuming technique being relatively equal, your strength (especially pulling/grip) should give you a pretty big advantage over others in your weight class?

Ya even with how weak I am now, I'm way stronger than most the jiu jitsu people I roll with especially ones around my size. That helps with the white belts that id be competing against. Against good people, it just make it so a choke or arm bar takes like two second longer to apply lol

Thanks to Monte i just registered for a BJJ tournament in two weeks lol. I signed up for the no gi 190.5 weight class. Hopefully my scale is right lol.

I would be worried if you using a digital scale, I never seen one overestimate weight. They all are either correct or have you too light. Balance scales are always correct.

Of course you are not skinny fat. But look at your chest and arms, they are way ahead of your belly. Last time I saw a guy like that he had to cut to like 153 to have a perfect six pack. And on the way there bleed lbm left n right in the limbs because those areas are sub10%. My theory anyways. My delts and quads are getting facking sick. Feathers Poppin on them quads. Tiny though.

Nice! Treat your opponents how 115 lb DLs treat EV's spine.

Also, I agree with loco; you'll likely have to cut down to proto-ant ant size and mirror his bodyweight to get even close to lean, because, as we've all said for years, but for your previous BLL affinity, you and he are essentially physical twins.
