As I said, I had to take a longer break, but I'm back to running.

May 18th:
run:
5km 35:54 7:11min/km avgHR: 143

May 21st:
run:
6,68m 49:02 7:21min/km avgHR: 144

May 23rd:
run:
8km 57:39 7:12min/km avgHR: 154

May 24th:
run:
5km 37:564 7:35min/km avgHR: 139

May 26th:
run:
5km 36:25 7:17min/km avgHR: 145

May 27th:
run:
4,8km 34:58 7:17min/km avgHR: 145

May 29th:
run:
5km 36:20 7:16min/km avgHR: 147

May 30th:
run:
5km 37:08 7:26min/km avgHR: 136

June 1st:
run:
5km 36:03 7:13min/km avgHR: 141

June 2nd:
run:
8km 58:04 7:16min/km avgHR: 154

The last five runs were the first week of the "Hanson's From Scratch" plan (5-day split). I am not sure yet, whether I'll be able to incorporate any lifting.
I have regained more weight than I wanted, but my pace doesn't seem to have suffered. Today's run didn't feel more stressfull on my legs, but it was very hot, so I did feel more challenged concerning my cardiovascular system.

17 week to go until the Berlin marathon.

How did you get into Berlin? Germans smart, moved it back a couple of weeks to try avoid global warming. But now it's a BQ qualifier for 2021.

My man Kipchoge is out, so the record is safe. He said he was going to do Berlin and then got offered to run 1:59 for a million bucks. So he is doing that instead. Lame.

I just applied and got in through the regular lottery. This is a pretty stressfull year for me, so I wouldn't have minded winning next year, but now that I'm in, I want to run.

June 2nd:
easy run:
6,5km 47:42 7:20min/km avgHR: 141

I forgot to add that all the runs after my break were in the "easy run" pace for my plan. With a goal time of 4:30 for the marathon that is between 7:07 and 7:37 min/km.

easy run:

I figured the time I'm running isn't that important so I'm logging only distance, pace and average heart rate. If there is any serious elevation I'll also log that, but I'm not planning any hill runs for my marathon training.

Frustration:
Recently I have been feeling some pain in the front part of my heel. I hope it is not some plantar fascitis stuff, as it started while I was not running because of the cold a few weeks ago. It doesn't really hurt while I'm running, but afterwards and after some rest periods it does.
It has gotten worse, so I desided to take some diclofenac/ voltaren from my wife's medicine collection (she is a nurse) for a few days, stop running for a week and have made an appointment with the doctor (sports injury specialist) for next Friday. If I get the green light I'll tweek my training plan and still go ahead with the marathon. Otherwise I'll have to postpone it...

This was the last run I did:
June 12th:
easy run:
8km 7:12min/km avgHR: 142
