I am in the last 3 weeks of a Body Fat % competition and just started an EC stack of ephedrine hydrochloride 25 mg (from primatene tabs, available at walgreens, cvs, any local pharmacy) and Caffeine 200 mg twice a day. I am drinking ~ 1.5 gallons of water a day.

I am logging my experience with the EC stack to serve as a real persons experience with the drug. I scowered the net for all the information I could find on the Drug and with the help of this forum found an amazing guide that I am following. See it herehttp://forum.bodybuilding.com/showth...hp?t=106816881

Anyone with questions or comments feel free to ask. Here we go!

Day 1 7/8/08
Weigh in at 185.4lbs, BF% measured yesterday at 16.9%
Wake up at noon. Eat a light breakfast. Head to donate plasma. I do this for some extra loot. Stupid phlebotomist messes up, I end up losing a little blood and cant donate. I still got paid though. So I figure I will go by my primatene and caffeine and get this thing going.

1:30pm Head to walgreens. Pick up my primatene and caffeine. Take first dose. Start downing 20oz bottles of water. Peeing like crazy. Drinking 20oz every half hour, pee, repeat.

3pm. Feeling very very jittery. Cannot sit still at all. It feels like my heart is pounding through my chest. It is not as much like my heart is beating faster, I have always had a sub 50bpm rate. Feeling really good. Like a whole body high. I have never done coke, but this is what I imagine it would be like.
The appetite suppression is for real, I haven't felt hungry all day. Eat anyway.
Still downing water and peeing very often.

5pm. Wearing off feeling normal again.

6pm. Take second dose

7:30pm The jitters return. I literally can't sit still. Trying to type on my keyboard is difficult as my hands cannot stop shaking. I have not really been too concerned all along because my heart rate has been under control. I haven't clocked it at over 100 bpm. I have done HITT training before (obv not on ephedra) and my heart rate has reached well over 150 bmp.

9:30pm Coming down now. Still a little jitters. The OG home boy rolls through and we put a spliff of kind bud in the air. I thought this was a terrible Idea after reading this article
http://www.erowid.org/experiences/exp.php?ID=12120
but I was far enough removed from my last dose that this actually calmed me down. Didn't have any of the problems the guy in that link had.

11:30pm Feeling really good but can't sleep. End up staying up till about 3 am.

Day 2. 7/9/08
I lifted Arms really hard back on 7/7 so today is a leg day. A little concerned about lifting while on the stack.

10 am Dose 1 with light breakfast.
Jitters continue from 11am-1pm. Still feel good and in control. Heart rate is fine. Stomach feels good. Head feels good.

2pm Dose 2 with lunch.
Same as before, jitters hit about 1.5 hours after and remain for the duration.

6pm Head to the gym. Still a little concerned about my heart exploding. I did not do any cardio but I circuit all my lifts so my heart rate was moving. Had to take a break after squatting. Heart just beating too fast. Walked around regained my breath. Finished up workout.

I ended my workout with a sit in the hot tub for about 10 minutes. Felt amazing but when I stood up I got SUPER dizzy and had to grab the railing to prevent myself from falling over. I didnt drink enough water while working out.
All in all went well. Felt energized the whole time even though I was 4 hours removed from my last dose.

Still peeing like a mad man.
11pm Fell asleep without any problems.

Day 3 7/10
Rest day so no lifting. Still drinking water and eating my same about 2000 calories a day. This is difficult to do since I have little appetite. No real changes here. Jitteryness still strong for 2 solid hours.

No chest pain or super heart rate.

Day 4 7/11

Standard Friday weigh in. 181.6lbs! Holy ****, I lost 4 pounds in 4 days. I am definitely going to continue on this.

Standard two dose day. Jitters are calming down a bit. I went to work today and had a hard time focusing but grinded through.

Side note. I am actually proposing to my GF today so a lot of extra jitteryness can be attributed to this. My stomach was tossing and turning at dinner with her but I'm sure this was hardly from the stack and from the situation. (she said yes btw).

Had sex, it was good. Not extra good but it was 8 hours after the second does so hard to see if there was any real effect. I am going to try and have sex during the middle of the effects from the dose but this isn't really up to me.

Fell asleep fine.

Day 5 7/12
I am caught up now on back logging so I can log much more real time with better details. I will just continually edit my original post as the day continues on. I am planning on taking a third dose today.

6 am. Woke up after only 4 hours of sleep to head to work. Felt surprisingly refreshed.

6:45am Arrived at work still feeling good.

7am Eat breakfast Bowl of Honeynut Cheerios and Milk.

8am Feeling tired, used my break time to take a 45 minute nap.

9am Take dose #1. Seems to kick in faster than normal and I am feeling good.

10am. Fully awake and have a great feeling going. Not quite as jittery as before, but it is definitely still there. Typing is still a bit more difficult then usual. My hands are moving slower than my brain it seems. I respond to emails at work so I have to type alot. Fully manageble, just takes a bit of focus.

1 pm Dose #2

Interested to see how this works. Do you have experience with other stimulants besides caffeine or is this the first time you have taken one?

Im glad someone is interested. I will keep logging.

Never taken any stimulants before. Lots of experience with depressants. Prior to this I had not had much caffeine at all. So I think that its effecting me just as much as the ephedrine. Together its like an explosion of energy. I can see why people with heart problems are recommended to stay away from this.

Day 5 7/12 (Continued)
1:30pm Vison got blurry, got dizzy when I stood up. Not like before when getting out of the hot tub, more of a rush to the head.
Feeling of body high continues.

2pm Lunch Spinach, Iceberg, Turkey light ranch salad.
Constant foot tapping begins.

This is kind of nutty. I have a resting BPM of 70-75 and I can reach 200+ with HIIT, so I think EC would blow my heart up. I am enjoying your log

Why? Are you a double amputee?

Interesting log. I've added it to the resource guide.

Well It takes two to tango. (this is a sex innuendo) But I will of course report my solo flight experience as well (this is a masturbation innuendo)

Thanks for the support Skunk and Tsearcher, I appreciate it.

I am going to go buy a heartrate monitor so starting tomorrow I will report where my heart rate is throughout the day as well.

4:30pm Getting tired. Some tightness in the chest. Deep breaths are just not quite feeling normal. Dizziness has gone away and vision is now fine. The 30 minute drink/pee cycles are still constant.

Day 5 7/12 (Continued)

5:45 Decide to go with a third does. Only 12.5 mg of ephedra and the standard 200 mg of caffeine. Since I want to go to bed eventually and since this is my first time with a third dose I cut the ephedrine in half. Ate dinner Broccoli and Spinach salad w/turkey and ranch.

Last fall I was taking a bunch of adderall and I would still play sports and do some HIIT while on it. Every time I would get on a cardio machine my heart rate would start around 130 bpm and go up to 180 or so. For reference now my heart rate on those machines usually starts at about 80 and still goes up to 180. Also I could lift more weight while on it. Had to stop taking it though because of the lack of eating/sleeping.

Not sure how this relates to an EC stack I am just trying to figure out if they feel similar which from this log it sounds kinda like they do.

Day 5 7/12 (Continued)
8pm Chest pain has gone away. Purchased a heart rate monitor.

8:30 Went to gym lifted arms. Heart Rate Avg during work out ~125. High of 155. No pain at all during work out. I left out cardio to keep my heart rate from getting to high. Had to walk around a few times to get my heart rate down. I ended in the hot tub and was able to get out this time w/o dizziness.

10pm Snack Banana and Peanut Butter.
12am Sleep

Day 6 7/13
Resting heart rate overnight was an average of 49 bpm

630am Wake up and Go to work. Heart rate while driving to work 60bmp

7am Breakfast Honeynut Cheerios w/ Skim Milk
First Dose

7:30am Mild chest pain comes but goes just as fast as it came. I am worried that I am not

able to tell what is actual side effects of the EC stack and what is just normal aches and

pains. I will log them all and do my best to describe them.

Two or three times a day I have been having a pain in the spot of my left arm that the bitch at

the plasma place botched my vein up last week. Prolably not related to EC but wanted to post

it anyway.

Also in the last two days have a wierd pain in my left jaw once or twice a day.

8:15 am EC kicks in. Feeling really good. Not as jittery anymore, just amped up.
Resting heart rate ~60bpm, Walking around ~80bp

9am The mild chest paid is coming and going. Starting too worry me a little. I think my heart

is tired. Going to take tomorrow off altogether complete rest day. The pain is definitely in the

left side of my chest. It is a mild pain. Have never felt anything like this before. This pain is not intense at all.

Not as much restlessness or foot tapping. Body seems to be adapting to the EC. Still cant keep completely still.

9:30am Resting heart rate avg. ~70bmp
Chest pain gone. And yes AZK very troubling.

11am Snack Chicken, Spinach, Iceberg, cheese, and Tomato Salad. Resting rate 60bmp.

Pushing back dose two to noon.

11:30 Few seconds of chest pain. Resting Rate 60bmp

i'm not a doctor, but as a medical student, hearing the combination of feeling your heart beat faster frequently, sweating, chest pain, jaw pain, is like a blaring siren with neon lights sign that you are having a heart attack, or at the very least, impaired blood flow to parts of your heart... i'd really consider stopping the EC and getting a cardiac work up

I severely doubt that this is a heart attack. I would compare the pain to a bee sting. Its not fun but it hardly stops you in your tracks. I have been able to function completely through it. I think a heart attack would be much much more painful and more debilitating.

But I do appreciate the feedback.

Nevertheless, be careful. Your symptoms do sound scary.
