I N1'd my shoulder pointing at something. So I'll continue to do shoulder work at low RPE while working back to full strength. Prob should've skipped last DL set. Hammies/Glutes always get ****** DOMS after a layoff and resuming squatting. (Including FS, weird IMO.)

The El D/Mickey meetup was as expected. I had chicken breast. He had a ribeye. There was a guest appearance by J Brown (RIP). We were not able to reach any consensus on preferred proteins. El D did not disclose prior fight training, so I would have to mark my current record as 2-1 in HF challenges with my two victories coming via forfeit. I would not dispute that drawing a stickman of me would needlessly exaggerate my gun size as well. I did not indulge in as many burritos as possible and consuming far too much alcohol. Might have to switch that around in the future.

Shoulder still has soreness. None during movements which is good I guess.

Shoulder has been feeling better. It doesn't stay sore continually and I don't feel any weird pains doing daily activity. (Probably would've been better already if I got my shaman to look at it instead of just waiting for it to heal and doing activity that doesn't cause pain around it.)

Won't be indulging in anything near max OH until I get no pain, and will still attempt to ramp slowly up with the slow lifts.

Euro 2018s had the British lady give an amazing hot take on how weightlifting and powerlifting should switch names because power lifting requires no power. Between that and her absurd level of nittiness on technique (anything that gets a single red light is a clear no lift from her and a decent number of slightly sloppy oscillations as well) it warms my heart to know she is announcing all the contests.

Shoulder feels better. I developed a weird issue in my right shoulder girdle/neck area that is mostly better. Time is magic folks. Downside: Also developed a weird chest cold, so I've taken a few days off. Being part of the Emoken&Co community that tries too hard. I'm trying to be reasonable and not kill myself first day back in the gym.

Riveting ****ing day. Shockingly losing a pound a day doesn't somehow result in a ton of cals for recovery. Prob hit my weight goal within a week or two of my May 1 "goal" tho.

What is your weight “goal” pal? What kinds of dietary adjustments have you made to “achieve” it?

Malucci,

I wanna float ~70. I eat less and move more. Sometimes I skip meals. I've been pretty lazy due to travel/etc. But I'm within ~5lbs, can get there with a solid 72hr fast ldo.

Assuming I don't wake up with some sort of crippling injury, I will attempt to FS 120, in which case I will resume my prior plan after this ~7m derp session I just indulged myself on. Maybe I do make my soft goal of PRing anything relative or absolute per year.

My logging has been spotty. As opposed to some people who don't workout when not logging. I have spent enough time separated from 2p2 (and the fact my log is completely uninteresting for virtually everyone) that I don't need to post something on the internet that I already wrote down to go back the next time.

I didn't manage to hit a 120 FS, but YOLO. I'm gonna test out my modified Smolov Jr with some days to focus on Oly/UB press movement. I may have to up the density of training or add in some extra FS volume on the Olytard days. Not really sure. Will see. Prob do some extra ab work at the end of all sessions. Squatting took under 30 minutes for work sets. Was nice.

I have decided that since we're all friends here that there should be no restrictions on people who can comment in my log. I only ask that people engage in good faith and in a spirit of support for their fellow exerciser.

Hi friend,

Ya, this is the fattest I've been in a couple years. Down to seeing two abs so obv time to cut. Apparently lots of time spent traveling really does impact your ability to train.

It appears I will resume logging if HF can continue to be a safe space. Maybe things will get super wild and I'll be physically able to resume Oly lifting at some point. Maybe even before I become a Masters lifter!!!

It's good to see this front squat specialist back at it, especially since he didn't acquire dadbod. Dadbod has taken many from us, all the way from Aidan to Yugo.

But it's disappointing to see front squats with regression. Once I am done with my running may have to challenge this guy to a front squat- off. Definitely good for at least 80x5 right now, with serious training and the good stuff I should be good for 250x1 (kg). If G4S can do it, we can do it.
