Agave “nectar” is just the euphemistic marketing name for High Fructose Agave Syrup. It is highly refined and it should be avoided. The only paleo sweetener is raw honey, and only in limited quantities. You could argue that very dilute maple syrup is paleo. If you must have sweetness, another possibility is coconut palm sugar. But best is to get all sweets out of your diet and get over it.

The inclusion of alcohol in the paleo diet is controversial. Our paleo ancestors would have come upon and eaten fermented fruit. Even spurned male butterflies get drunk on fermented fruit. Some have issues with the yeast. In Wild Fermentation (p. 127 in Amazon.com's Look Inside) there is a recipe for spontaneous hard cider that requires no added sugar or yeast. Now the resulting product (6% ABV) does not last long, but it would be paleo! No published paleo diet includes alcohol. But if you are going to drink it, pick one from fermented fruit and water it down to 6%. Another paleo high would have been eating cannabis leaves.

Some thoughts:

1) My ban wasn't too bad.
2) jdock's posts are fine. I think they're funny.
3) I had a friend visit from AMERICA. So I didn't lift. I think I have bacterial bronchitis as well. Luckily hybrid vigor allows me to just chill at home for a week to two weeks and recover rather than going to the doctor and recovering in one to two weeks.
4) I wasn't sure how sick I was day 1, so I did 30 PUs and 30 BW squats. I woke up with muscle soreness. So I guess I'm actually sick.


Today I did an extended warmup and 30 PUs and 30 squats. Hopefully I don't have lol muscle soreness tomorrow and relapse into death. (I did this the last time I was near death.)

Alternatively I could have acute onset HIV. The next time any of you stop having sex with your real dolls and bang some skank and then 2-4 weeks later have ambiguous flu-like symptoms. You could have teh AIDS!!!

No really. Read the wiki. It'll bring new levels of paranoia to any minor cold/flu.

It'd be like Smiley trying to get himself banned from my log. Even taking a Kettlebell Cert from AllisonNYC and then arguing with KPC about it would probably only bring me mild amusement at KPC's angst.

i swear i am going to try to take some sort of cert from her and regardless i will use this knowledge to argue with KPC about something...possibly his questionable taste in old school hip/hop. (omg it is on now) oh and thanks for the unconditional love. it is tough to come by these days.

Does pull/snatch mean you did pulls then a full lift? I was reading somewhere about this, and the anecdote was that the full lift felt "easier" this way. I'm assuming this was with experienced lifters though, not nubs.

The protocol was something like
snatch pull + rest 10s x2-3

No. I do a snatch pull, then a snatch from the floor. Or the hang if I'm doing that. Its mostly to reinforce appropriate bar path so I stop looping my second pull. Its a temp thing, I doubt I'll do many snatch pulls when I'm pro, but right now I'm noob so I need to do ghey stuff to keep my form from degenerating into uber AIDs.
