Yeah. Three things at work:
> the actual inch or two of distance
> the fact that you can apply force easier near-barefoot than with most running shoes
> the psychological boost from the "trick"

Yeah, I'm not even sure where my sticking point is anymore. I may have to tweak my setup a shade. I think I'm rising my hips faster than my shoulders or perhaps at the same rate. Will need to pay attention next time. That is if I'm not trying to avoid blacking out at the end of the set.

WTF how do you gas at racquetball

Just stand near the T; the ball WILL come within one step of you during its multiple-wall-path. Also, play squash. Yeah, I've become a squash snob.

I have really bad technique ldo and run around like crazy.

Squat
3x5x232.5

Press
3x5x115

Clean
5x3x167.5

Chins
3x5xBW

OH Walks
1x35yx45
2x25yx55

Std. Some guys talked me about how "low" I get on the squat. It just made them seem like pussies. Or maybe it was when they said "I'm scared of hurting myself." They did crossfit as well. Irony. I was having some trouble with a solid base when doing pressing. Midline stabilization type stuff. I think this variant of core work should help that. At the very worse, I look really weird.

Some guy asked me if I measured my thighs every workout. I was like "WTF?" I also went at the non-hottie hour since my computer is the queerest (I have 4. One works in a fashion that is suitable.)

Yea, I was introduced to racquetball by my old roommate who was super-fast and wa more athletic than I was. He would run around the entire time and chase the ball down.

I just chilled at the back(ish) area, waited for a good bounce and drove it alongside the wall farthest from him. Scoring would be like 15-12, 13-15, 15-11, 15-9, 15-2, 15-4 as he got more and more winded.

Then I started playing squash and got my ass kicked by everyone for the first couple of weeks.

Went running last night. Inside of knee felt sore. Woke up. Inside of knee feels sore.

Rest day. Unless I get aggro later with a KB or something.

So I've been trying to get unstuck for my run of lozzes. I think I won today. Hot. I drank some beers. I talked to slutz who think I'm a weirdo (warranted). My knee is still sore on the inside. I don't know what I did. Maybe freak accident or drunken stumbles. Who cares. My right feels bad, but I felt terrible today (stayed out till 6AM meeting up with stripz for drinks. You would think I'm bragging, except for the fact that even a ****ing "feel" bettor could do the basic analytical analysis to realize the AIDs v Hotness ratio is ****ing gagtastic)... Always awesome to know you sucka sucka dick before work on one of your top 30-50 days of the year

Monday should be hot. I'm going to be travelling soon. The rest should be good. Hopefully set some PRs while dicking around at the gym.

I forgot to check up after I posted a few weeks ago about Crossfit. I think you have the wrong idea about what they do. It's not training for 5km runs. We never run more than a mile. The 'weird' thing they do is the kipping pullups where you use momentum for pullups, but there's arguments for and against (for is increasing shoulder flexibility, among other things). If you want a better idea of what it's about, check out:
http://media.crossfit.com/cf-video/C...nHeavyFran.wmv

or youtube any "crossfit games" video. Also "roguefitness.com" has videos of the everyday workouts they do there using crossfit principles.

If you're trying to lose weight and increase strength, there's no better program. T-nation had an article put out by chris shugart (i think that was the author) where he literally copied crossfit to a T, and said it was his most effective fat burning program. Good luck man.

Thank you for your interest. I will not being doing crossfit at this point because it is decidedly suboptimal for my current goals.

Nothing tops sedentary vacations imo... especially if you only take very few of em every year.

What's your height btw?

I find myself losing weight on vacation just because my diet is all screwed up and I end up eating less frequently. I'll go ape**** at dinner usually but that will prob be the only big meal I eat all day.

Yeah, I make sure to indulge heavily on soda/burgers to keep the weight up. I thought about making a thread to illustrate the importance, but I'll post it here.

I was at the airport after eating like 700 calories all day and being up for ~10 hours. Most was liquid and poor quality. I had 20 minutes to eat. By far and away the best choice was a whopper combo with soda. Basically since I needed the calories more than anything else at that point. Eating a salad and drinking water would have been counterproductive.

as you get older you will appreciate this. Trust me it is way better to have a fast metabolism then a slow one

hehe I would have done done the same, except get a diet soda

diets really do get thrown off when on vacation

Like 20% of my calories from that day were just simple carbs from beverages. I would have epic failed on my caloric intake if it wasn't for them. Maybe juice is a marginally better choice but its pretty immaterial.

I'll probably do some BW squats later on and then drink tonight.

I went to go get my shirts back. There was a trunk show and the guy that does my shirts wanted an example so I could get better measurements. He related a short story about a quasi-argument between him and the guy that was there holding the trunk show over my measurements. Perhaps spending too much time in the gym has skewed my perception of body shape since I don't think I give off "ZOMG freak" to anyone. Though apparently do to shirt people.

Word. I hate getting mcdonald/burgerking type crap, but if I do, I'm definitely getting the double. Skews the grossness : protein ratio to slightly less disgusting.

I don't understand your last post. Even after googling to figure out wtf "trunk shows" were.

Double whopper with no cheese and no mayo = not bad. I don't bother with the chicken anymore just because it's pretty terrible plain, at least the meat has some flavor.

Your google skillz are weak.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trunk_show

http://www.google.com/search?q=trunk...ient=firefox-a

The article somewhat slights it. You typically get a peek at the swatches from the next season in addition to other custom options you may not normally have. Its almost purely dependent on who is doing the show. For example there is a Peter Millar show coming up that has gone from sans Chris Knott to with Chris Knott back to sans Chris Knott. The EU of the show has waxed and waned appropriately. To spare you of the overwhelming ghey that this post contains: It is essentially a brag about my measurements.
