Third time's the charm Third time's the charm

When it comes to chops I first use an ICM calculator then assess my perceived skill edge and how deep stacks are relative to the blinds. I have a minimum number I will accept, but always ask for more. If people are stubborn I just say "this is my number I don't care where it comes from, but if I don't get it we are playing it out".

I once chopped for more than 1st place money because I had a dominating chip after running over the last 3 tables. Other two guys were clearly just trying to out last each other for 2nd and didn't want to risk coming in 3rd. Think difference from 2nd to 3rd was like $2.5k

Wow!

I put everything into an ICM and it seems I gave up some equity :/

My stack was 32.5XBB when chopping and the shortest stack was 15.25XBB.

You can get a bacon cheeseburger anywhere, you can only get a SBCB at one glorious place in Texas.

MLY,

You didn't win the tournament if you had the most chips and chopped evenly five ways, but just as loltastic is somehow determining you came in 2nd by draw. Makes no sense, but that is nothing new.

Here is some final table negotiating advice I will give you that is very simple and will obv be ignored: Simply say "ICM chop or we play it out"

If you are a shorty and would rather play than ICM, don't offer ICM. If you are a big stack and ICM numbers are hashed out, you can then MAYBE throw the shorties a $100 bone or something to close the deal.

But either way, you didn't win the tournament and you didn't come in 2nd. You chopped 5 ways even with the chip lead(lol).

U had to use ICM to figure you gave up equity splitting evenly 5 ways despite being chipleader? Concur with above posts. ICM or no chop in the future.

Uh... how we factoring MLY being a poker noob with a dependent? 27’s claim seems weak

Better yet, let's see pictures of SBCs when you get them. Accountability for you, food pron for the thread.

I was supposed to be taking pics of everything I eat, but it might cause temptation to see SBCB pics everyday.

I had a Taco Bell chicken quesadilla on Sunday night instead of a burger.

YMMV obviously but for me taking pics of what I eat is fantastic for accountability. I feel a sense of pride when I've taken pictures and logged everything. It's when I eat a whole bunch of crap that I don't feel like photologging (and vice versa).

Ok you are in a jam and eating fast food, understandable. Happening almost daily now... your routine needs work. It's all a process, I get it.

What I can't fathom is eating french fries (or onion rings) in addition to your burger. The burger is the meal, its 560 calories. It's ingrained in our culture but our culture is obese. You are going to need to break some of these habits eventually if you want to lose weight and keep it off.

Someone should have just told this before and saved everyone a lot of time and frustration.

I needed and still need a kick in the ass! Thanks guys.

I'm cooking eggs right now.

This is my 3rd week at my new job and I was doing well getting up early the first week and then fell back into bad habits of getting late and rushing. It also felt so good not to smoke at work that first week and my skin was looking so smooth and vibrant.

I'll have to entertain some customers all day for a run test so we will probably go out to eat. Getting salmon or a big salad.

I had Salmon to cook last night and didn't because I haven't reconnected my kitchen sink yet and I won't have time to do it tonight.. Code3 will be here all day tomorrow, ill see if he will take care of it for me so I'll have one less excuse not to cook at home.
