Third time's the charm Third time's the charm

I really need some encouragement and accountability.

My weight this morning is 241.7 and has been steadily climbing. I havent been to the gym in over 6months and back to eating fast food and donuts everyday.

I'm starting a new job and new schedule and this will be the perfect time to get into a new routine.

I want to focus on my routine and set short goals and let the weight just come off.

-Drink a glass of water when I wake up, before every meal and before bed.

-Take a shower every night so I'm not rushing in the mornings and grabbing donuts for breakfast.

-Fix my hair and makeup every morning to feel good about myself.

-stretch every morning for 10mins.

-walk everyday at lunch for at least 20mins. No excuses

-prep a lunch everyday to avoid fast food.

-stock up on chicken and salmon for dinners...no pizza

My gym schedule and workout routine will be TBD. There is a gym 5mins from my new work, but I don't know if we get 30mins/1hr for lunch or what is acceptable. If I can go during lunch, I will add that in.

Mondays: Work 7:30-5:30, gymnastics at 6:00, I can walk the parking lot for 30mins

Tuesday: Work 7:30-5:30, girl scouts at 6:00, I can walk the parking lot for 30mins

Wed: Work 7:30-6 House cleaning+softball

Thurs: Work 7:30-6 Laundry+softball

Fri: Work 7:30-6, Free+softball

Saturday: Work 12-5, Gym! Hiking, being outdoors, working on projects at the house

Sunday: mowing, weedeating

Baseball starting soon, so I will have to work the gym in around practices and games.

Planning out my morning routine:
6:20- wake up
6:20-6:30 water and stretching
6:30-6:50 hair/makup/dresses
6:50-7:10 get kid up/fix her hair
7:10-7:30 driving to school/work

I can prep some egg sandwiches to eat on the way to work or eat oatmeal at work every morning....no donuts!
My morning routine has been the absolute worst and has been setting me up for bad days, this is the first fix and something I didn't work on the first coupe of rounds losing weight.
I will log my routine to at first stay accountable.

Return of the Mack
Remind me, what was your lowest weight since you started log.
Still rooting for you!!!

Thanks Mag.
My lowest weight was around June 2018 @ 201lbs
My all time highest weight was 301lbs right before I had the prop bet with 27offsuit. That really got me going and then I started logging here a few months later.

I've gained 40lbs over the last 9months and before that I was stagnant for several months to a year.

After logging here for so long I've received all the knowledge from the regs here on what I should be doing. The one thing I didn't do is get into a routine that worked for me and stick with it. I lost my focus and try hard along the way.

Have you ever tried intermittent fasting? Personally I find that simply not eating for a period is way easier (after an adjustment period; I took ~2 weeks) than having several small snacks/meals a day. And as an additional plus you don't have to worry about preparing breakfast anymore lol. Good luck!

Good luck MLYLT!
04-04-2019 , 06:29 PM
I don't see meal prep in that schedule anywhere.
04-04-2019 , 07:37 PM
Lol...yes, meal prep will be on Sundays and Wednesdays.
The weather is getting nice and I can grill big batches on Sundays. I'm gonna have to switch it up though, got pretty burnt out on chicken.
The last week I made a few massive salads (mainly bell peppers) and I think I will try to do that a couple of days a week.
I'm actually thinking of getting a housekeeper once a week so I can eliminate any household chores from my time. That would cost $300 a month and I told myself I wouldn't do it until I quit smoking and used the smoking money for it.

Matrat,
The only intermittent fasting I did was skipping breakfast and not eating after 6-7. I only maintained that for less than a week at a time. It did work as a mind resetter though and help with my hungry gauge.

Thanks UDC!

So I start my new job in two weeks. Plenty of time for me to start building my healthy routine. Starting Monday I will start the new morning routine to get into the habit before work starts. The last two weeks I have been getting up 30mins before I have to drop my kid at school.

I'm logging my Cal's starting today. I really don't want to download Tapatalk again, so I will just post calorie counts and what I ate as I won't be able to easily do screenshots.

This is also the perfect time to take quitting smoking seriously. I have two weeks off work to get through the withdrawals. I will wear a patch all weekend and Monday to just get out of the habit of going outside to smoke and then it's cold turkey. It would be best to start my new job as a non-smoker. Brand new opportunity and brand new start.

Oh and it totally didn't occur to me that I now have a yard and can plant a garden! I'm going to plant some tomatoes and bell pepper plants this weekend. I used to have a medium size garden and love eating fresh tomatoes off the vine. I'm going to try to do these in big pots instead of tiling up the yard.

I will log weight, Cal's, water, and not smoking.

I slept 9 hrs last night. Even being off work I've only been sleeping about 6hrs a night. I feel really good and energized today. I need to guzzle water today to help with lowering my Cal's by 1k.
Gonna smoke no more than 8times today and then go to the patch. I've been smoking about 30times a day, did 8 yesterday and it was easy. It's so easy to ween down on nicotine, the hard part is none at all. Patch Monday and Tuesday and then I will try to go cold turkey....just trying to ween down first and get my head wrapped around it.

Grunch.

Does Aidan know about this?

This is my first meal of the day. I have some leftover salmon and will eat that for dinner with some veggies.
I mixed honey+onion powder+salt+lime+butter to cook the salmon....it was meh and would have been okay with just some garlic salt.

I like having these as a snack, but it's about 500cals. Pan+avacado+tomatoes+cillantro+balsalmic. The hard Mexican pan is so so good and I love avacados. I could still do it as a snack and cut everything in half to keep my Cal's down.

I had to do my physical yesterday for work. The guy took it really easy on me, but I'm still sore today. I had to climb a safety ladder a few times in a row and have my heart rate checked, lift some boxes and weights over my head-ohp basically, push and pull a weighted sled and then he made me hold a squat for a minute at a time.
Man my thighs we're burning after 10s and my heart rate was around 98 every time he checked it.
I didn't get the grip strength comment this time lol.

Welcome back, I remember those plates!

Those look tasty AF. Remove the bread and you've got a healthy and delish snack. How about putting the toppings on slices of english cucumber? Or combine all the toppings as a dip for red bell peppers, or just use big pieces of red bell pepper as a base.

Or.....

You could put all that shiat on grilled chicken breast and have a delish meal.

Josie,

What's unhealthy about the bread?

Other than me being extremely suspicious that clocks in at just 500 kcals, and her describing it as a "snack" (jfc that would be like a large meal for me and I can eat a lot) i don't see anything unhealthy about that.

Goodluck OP, seems like you will need it with how many threads you keep making.

Im unsure why you have so much calorie fluctuation though. Are you carb cycling?
