Yup this. Plus, despite the fact that they are on these sites, many women are still kind of creeped out by the idea of meeting some rando from the internets. If she has your number, she could easily flake and never message. If you have her number, you know you're going to follow through.

hold your horses there. how you measuring 'weakest' (and for that matter, who actually matters? heh)

I did 295x2 and 315x1 the other day and probably have more in me, but not much.

The people that matter are regs who post often (top20 in LC thread) or have active log.
Here are the current "champions"

Bench - Yugo - 175 pounds
Squat - Fakebusto -225 pounds
Deadlift - pokerron 275

I think Old Spice is just deodorant. That antipersperant makes a big difference as far as staying power goes. I find that if I accidentally use a deodorant without an antiperspirant, I am good for a few hours, but I will start smelling myself at some point in the day if I go long enough.

Also, I used to think I didn't sweat a lot too. Then I started squatting and deadlifting (relatively) heavy, and I discovered I did. I think if/when you get into Squat 275x5x3 terrirtory you will find you sweat a lot too.

I like the subtle troll on fakebusto by posting a lowest squat weight that he still couldn't possibly hit

Also, I was going to troll Yugo about his bench, but I'm relatively certain he's doing 170 for reps these days
09-18-2013 , 04:46 PM
The funny thing about that list is that two of those guys are basically 6foot and the other is 5'3" 135. Maximum lols.
09-18-2013 , 04:49 PM
well huh. I know I'm not an accepted reg, but I suppose being trolled in the LC thread should be expected....

this brings up a few points:

1) No need to troll lolco that subtly about his infant level squatting
2) Are you claiming that the very act of squatting more weight causes you to sweat more in everyday life? Because I call bull**** if so
3) Everyone showers at some point relatively soon after going to the gym, right? Because my workout buddy has stopped showering since we stopped locotarding because he says he's not sweating as much, and doesn't even change his underwear; I would have batwings for the rest of the afternoon if I did that ****. I'm not crazy here, right? He also wears the same gym clothes for like a week, fwiw; if I forget to empty mine out of my bag until the next day, it smells like I dumped a bottle of vinegar in there.

You're not that regular if you think 315x1 squatting would even come close to qualifying you for the title of worst squat; fakebusto's entire work set doesn't even add up to 315

No matter what a girl says she wants to be pursued. She wants the guy to tell do the job she doesn't want to do, which is take initiative. You give her your # and she has to take the initiative to text/call you.

Tell the bish what the deal is. Be alpha. Just tell her "Look I can't plan a date unless I get your #" It doesn't even make sense. Of course you can plan it but you just say something to get her digits. It works literally every time on tinder. It's so easy.

Lol. We sticking it good to fakebusto. Love it. Hate that guy. Comes around and gets smaller and more ripped than me. And now trying to take over all my lifts. What the fack? What a nightmare it has been that this guy discovered H&F. Steals all my facking thunder. Now I am just fat and lift mediocre weights, just another Soul lost in H&F.

Don't worry bro, we're all going to make it.

Lots of stinky folks itt.

I reuse gym shirts between washes occasionally. If they dry out between uses they do not smell any worse the second time around. I guess I just got lucky with body chemistry.

Also I'm sure some people actually do need to use antiperspirant, but if you're not a sweaty/smelly person then using antiperspirant is a massive life leak.

No. Loco was saying he doesn't sweat when he works out. I was saying I didn't either until I started squatting/deadlifting (relatively) heavy, and when (if) he ever starts lifting heavy weights he will probably sweat too.

In fairness to the rest of us, guys under 160 pounds with no body fat or body hair don't really have the same issues most of us have when it comes to personal hygiene.
09-18-2013 , 05:05 PM
I never use antiperspirant. The neck line of my shirts gets more wet than my armpits do.

Wtf at #3. Your gym bro is a weird dude and has some poor hygiene. Disgusting.

Imo there is a good chance that whatever his knees are doing is not what your knees are actually doing. It may even look the same but my guess (without really knowing what he or you are doing) is that he is doing something very specific to create more tension and force out of the hole and it looks similar knee-wise to how the knees might look of someone who is having actual caving problems and shouldn't be doing it.

I'd liken it to rounding parts of one's back DLing. At least I suspect this. Most people who aren't DLing...oh, I dno, 500+ and claim their upper back rounding is part of their technique probably aren't protecting the rest of their back properly or truly getting tight. The actual guys "getting away with this" have a lot of experience and are very strong.

What is the advice for giving out your number? Of course anything can be fine given context, etc. But the "ABC" +EV play is to get a # or exchange #s.

I bench that for 3 sets of 5 baby - ship it. My OHP is what should be quoted. Until recently I barely could get it above 100lbs for reps. Just abysmal. Current PR is 106.25x5 - still pretty loltastic.

Squat - Fakebusto -225 pounds
That doesn't sound right...

Quote:
Deadlift - pokerron 275
Not sure he is top 20 poster ITT? I do like pokerron from what I remember though...plus, doesn't he not lift for strength?

Unnecessary to read the rest. You are in the right regarding whatever discussion or argument the two of you are having if it relates to anything even indirectly gym/fitness related.

Also excellent. This Downtown character is really bringing it today!

I can't really argue with that. If it is necessary for hygiene then by all means go for it, the rest of us appreciate your sacrifice.

I just realized this and found it a bit interesting.

My worksets for the various powerlifts are:

OHP: 1 plate
BP: 2 plates
Squat: 3 plates
DL: 4 plates

Yea I don't really remember tbh, it was in the "online dating" thread, lol. Not sure if that's a good or bad thing. O wells, I will go with H&F consensus here from now on.

Messaging her again just being like "o i forgot to get your # as well, gimme those digits so we can plan this"

Basically, is it controlled and you know what you're doing and it feels fine, or is it unstable and it feels ****ty?

Not so thinly tender baby cow meat brag imo. Nice lifts.
