sludge in morning, lunch will be like 7-8oz chicken with sweet potatoes. Dinner is chipotle (some veggies). PWO shake. That's like an average day. Probably need to start getting spinach more often though. Sometimes I'll have a big serving of the frozen mixed veggies from costco. It's like peas, corn, carrots and green beans. But it's frozen so I don't even know if the nutrients count lol.

But even stuff I sautee, I just throw it in a pan and go jerk off. No oil even. Zero work. I don't even clean up after myself. I just have my pan out on the stove 24 hours a day that I heat up and throw **** in. comeatmebro

BTM still has the "cleanest" diet in the planet. May need to add in a gotodessert to get that press rolling again.

Low calories. Dry wank. Permanent rustling.

If you don't sautee with salt, pepper, evoo, and garlic (most of the time) we can't be friends.

It's possible that frozen is more nutrient dense than fresh, since they flash freeze at peak ripeness. Even if this is wrong, frozen veggies are far far far from "not counting" territory. Go HAM on them frozens imo.

I think saw probably eats better than me but my diet is about as clean as it gets. I almost never drink or eat dessert. Probably why I never make any progress in any lifts anymore. I really need to add something....like an extra shake per day, or some kind of go-to bulking meal where I eat my normal stuff throughout the day and then this magical extra meal is like 300-400 calories of bodily goodness.

Yeah maybe. I'll take it.

This is what I eat several days a week. I generally eat like 2 cups of this at a time which is like 2 servings or something.

+1

My go to frozen veggies are green peas, broccoli, and spinach. Nom nom nom nom nom.

Avocados? Weird.

GOATmeal with flax milk confirmed better than regular milk but I'm still not a big fan. 19/37

Frozen spinach whaaaat. I can't even picture that. Not hating, just oblivious. Such an easy one to buy fresh.

That said I have an interesting shoulder situation in that my tendons are a bit too elastic, causing my shoulder to pop out of its socket quite frequently. Luckily it doesn't really affect working out and hasn't happened in over a year (probably because surrounding muscles have gotten stronger)

It does however ever affect other things in my life, and is prob something I need to get fixed in the future
Probably/hopefully not surgically.

I think cha is saying fixing your should WRT form and function. Do you do enough pulling after you bench (face pulls, rows, other shoulder work)?
yeah, this^ and maybe laying off benching and doing rehab work along with more shoulder friendly pressing if necessary for a while. It depends. Maybe just correcting your bench form, along with regular pulling will take care of it.

I watched the bench part of the vid. Flared elbows, back not tight, shoulders coming out. Some people can get away with that for a while.

I have no idea why anyone regards this guy as an authority on any kind of lifting.

He's very strong for his size, pretty lean, has an extremely honest and genuine personality, and this forum seems be influenced by trends quite a bit.

That's just hyperbole Cha. His form is fine.

http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=GIqcXj2pAPA

He is very young so I can understand some skepticism. He doesn't tuck his elbows as much as others. But skeletor's benching buddy flares his elbows way more than candito.

And he is somewhat an authority because his total is superhigh. He is around the same as you at 70lbs lighter. He has been competing in powerlifting for 5+ years. Guy is solid.

True. I do buy fresh, too, but I tend to buy the large bags. Even when I eat a ton of it daily, some of it starts going bad.

The frozen spinach isn't nearly as good as the peas/broccoli, but it doesn't spoil on me.
09-13-2013 , 11:14 AM
I actually asked him about his setup when he posted this vid on his FB page, because I thought it looked sloppy as well.

I'm definitely going to start logging (on my comp, not my h&f log) and spreadsheeting grocery shopping to track and optimize cheapness wrt veggies. I'm very curious also to see how frozen and fresh compare along the lines of $/g.
09-13-2013 , 11:21 AM
Frozen broccoli is a lot more expensive than fresh here, but 100% of the net weight is usable though. With fresh broccoli you probably lose almost half of the weight by cutting off the root and stuff. So the difference is probably not that big.

Brussels sprouts should be cheap as **** there, though, amirite?
09-13-2013 , 11:29 AM
I have no idea, I have never bought sprouts in my life. But now that you mention it, I will check. Sprouts are awesome. Yum yum.
09-13-2013 , 11:44 AM
Roasted Brussels sprouts w EVOO/salt/pepper are better than candy imo. They are like 2 minutes of prep and lots of waiting though :/
09-13-2013 , 11:49 AM
I rarely eat Brussel sprouts. I am not very picky with food but sometimes those little suckers come out really bitter. I almost gag if I eat the bitter ones.

Prefer chayote (zucchini family). Yum yum.
