i'm off the daily shake routine. I still have whey and milk when i have extra cals to fill or if I'm in a pinch i'll do oats and whey, but for me lately it's been:

breakfast: eggs, oatmeal+greek yogurt parfait thingy
lunch: chili. tonight i'm making a beef stew for lunch all week. + veggies.
dinner: chicken and rice or potatoes, veggies
pre-workout: banana + whey
post-workout: either chicken and rice or maybe i'll do a shake here then some cereal. but i like real food after i workout.

finish up any extra cals i have at night with a glass of milk or cereal or whatever.

I'm anti- liquid calories. My protein target is 150g/day, and I'm really struggling to stay <200. So I'm in no need of squeezing in protein in liquid form. Not being elite or anything like that, if anything this should be interpreted as complaining.

I only eat the quest bars because I enjoy them. I'd eat them if they had 0 protein.

i put a 1/2 cup of oatmeal in a cup, i put enough water in to cover it, i put a single serving cup of chobani fat free greek yogurt in it (black cherry sfobv), mix, cover, leave it in the fridge overnight.

on weekends i just cook oatmeal cuz it's better. but aint' nobody got time for that.

Whey is pretty powerful in that you can have three scoops of it a day and the rest of your diet is absolute shiet (burger king combos) and you can still come in at a pretty good looking 2400 calorie day.

However you may want to try cleaning it up a bit for long term compliance purposes.

Loco I'm not on no ****ing 2400 calorie diet. And I'm certainly not eating any bk combos. Chicken eggs and whey. Miserable existence.

It's doable man, you can get through it. Cheat meals are definitely doable if you plan ahead.

I feel like this forum has pulled it's 2nd long term level on me.

First, the cookies and cream whey. That's a huge joke right? Disgusting.

I just tried this sludge nonsense. Worst thing I've put in my mouth in over a year. You guys have got to be ****ing kidding me, right? I choked it down but I had to lard it up with granola to make it edible.

Dude, I know. But these asshats are singing the praises of delicious protein sludge all the time. Thought maybe I was missing something. NOPE.

Edit: I mean it doesn't even measure up to the old standby of mine: 1/2 cup frozen cherries, 1.5-2 scoops chocolate protein, a few shaved ice cubes and a cup or so of milk, blended together. It's not like amazingly delicious but it's pretty OK and it's 50g protein minimum.

Eh, I tried the sludge for the first time this weekend and it's alright. I think you need 12 oz of yogurt instead of 8 plus a bit of fruit to make it edible, but it could make a nice occasional change from my three scoop afternoon shake.

I think part of the problem (both with the C&C whey and this sludge) is that I basically can't abide artificial sweetener, which like every whey has. When I drink it, it goes down in like 5s, I don't even really taste it. But having to eat a big ****ing bowl of it takes time and I get to taste every bite.

I ain't had a bread pudding in forever although it was totally glorious.

The worst thing has happened though, I've basically lost my desire to drink. For the last 3 months I've been dropping weight, which means not drinking beer pretty much ever and not drinking that much at all.

I had a cheat day a week or 2 ago and I bought a few very expensive but amazing beers. I had one, opened another and had half of it, then was like "meh". My binge was also completely awe-uninspiring, I probably only went 500 cal over my daily calories. I did eat a (small) container of guacamole though.
