I've felt this way before, but I don't think you can necessarily make those conclusions. Maybe with 5 hours of sleep you'd be less focused and end up getting less done in 19 hours compared to 16 hours of more enjoyable/productive time? I mean if that wasn't true, then you wouldn't need the 8 hours, right? I dunno, just thinking out loud.

I get a lot of sleep too. I would like to think that I'm not wasting time

Ideal summertime temp imo.

I need every bit of 8 hours tho I routinely function on less but I probably come across as kidcolincat.jpg

People who work out hard and often should get as much sleep as possible. I get depressed and moany if I don't get enough sleep/food when I'm working hard. IMO it's also way easier to sleep now that I work out a lot.

I went to my son's first soccer game today. What a joke. I mean I expect the kids to be awful but I find it so hilarious that all the parents and coaches are shouting advice at these kids that don't even really know the rules or aims of the game, and then if a goal is scored or a ball goes out or whatever, the parents act like it was intentional or strategic or skilled at all. The field is so tiny that basically the ball just bounces from foot to foot and eventually it accidentally goes out or into the goal.

The field is so small that actually there is a throw in, goal kick or corner kick probably every 45 seconds. I think they should probably just play indoors with no out of bounds but there probably is no way they'd get enough fields for it.

I have also heard tales of getting "sleep drunk" if you sleep too much, but I've never looked for any science behind this claim

My college roommate's gf slept for 16+ hours a day over the winter. I teased her about hibernating. She was otherwise relatively normal. Not sleep drunk, although drunk drunk was always a possibility. Chico State back in the #1 party school day and all.

I can get by fine with 6, but definitely feel more productive with 8. And the difference in the gym is fairly noticeable.

not sure why rugby got ****'d out there.

so wait, some people say it day-boo and some say it dey-byew? Or is it just you got to USA#1 and realized how ******ed you sounded and fixed your ways?

so I bought a plain old fashioned donut for preworkout today. I'm assuming it's in the 250-350 cal range. So scoping them on MyPlate: starbucks' glazed old fashioned is 450 cals! jesus that's so many for so little.

a dunkin' old fashioned is listed as 280. This is a little bigger so I'll log it as 350.

i think it became common with the first batch of ex-players that became commentators in the 90s, who mostly came from farm country. i have no idea why no one has corrected them.

Speaking of gfs, was it your ex who was going to be going on trial for some serious crimes? Has that happened yet?

I thought you were in Texas- shouldn't there be a number of naturally skilled soccer players?
When I first started referring in high school I worked with the 4-5 year olds and it was dreadful. Tiny fields, no skills and "coaching" parents. Much better when I started working the u13 and up games, save the over-intense parents.

Wish we could get some days like that. Hasn't left the mid/upper 80s in almost two weeks.

No trial yet. Change of venue was granted in May, further settings were to take place yesterday. Her lawyer filed a motion to suppress evidence yesterday. It will be heard at the end of October. I expect trial sometime this winter, looks like it will go to the Sacramento area.
