quick date TR from Tuesday because I said I would:

after a few OKC exchanges and some texting we agree to meet up at a bar that's a 10 minute walk from my place for drinks at 9:30pm. she only lives 15-20 minutes from me but she's driving from somewhere else that's 45 mins away. she texts me when she leaves and I show up to the bar at 9:30. it's nice out so I sit outside while I wait. there's some traffic and she gets lost (obv) and finally shows up around 10:15.

she walks up, we hug and go into the bar and walk to the upstairs section, which is always less crowded than downstairs. very good quiet bar location with a good beer selection.

I have been busy lately socially so had lots to talk about; convo went really well for the entire 2 hour date. our texts beforehand were a little flirty, more so than the conversation at the bar which was pretty much just storytelling and talking about ourselves. we like some of the same music so talked a little about that. she does some stuff with worker's comp for a living and was apparently learning about lumbar something, so I told her about how I'm rehabbing my bulging disc and how I broke my arm a few years ago. Went well - IMO purpose of the first meetup is to show her that I'm not a serial killer/rapist and am generally a fun and exciting person.

she was feeling a little under the weather and had work in the morning so when midnight started to approach I decided to end it and walked her to her car. she said she was already feeling a little better. we hugged and went home.

more texting since then and I'm gonna see her again tomorrow night. probably meet up at my place and then walk somewhere.

BB good. Gotta think about GOAT, but probably. Wire gonna Wire... BB maybe gets the nod bc of The Wire ****ting the bed w the SK plotline S5.

supple leopard is over rated, also the voodoo bands I got don't appear to be doing jack. At least it only cost me like $50 combined, not like the money I wasted on ART last year.

Flossed yesterday, keeping the band really tight. My knee felt instantly better....but then today, the pain came back again. I think biking to work might aggravate it, so will prob have to walk while this is fixed. Squatting tomorrow seems like a dubious venture. I'll try low bar and see how it feels.

yeah this new approach is nice imo. Now I just ask a funny/unrealistic question that takes 1-2 sentences and that's it. They respond and then I try and be coy. In the example I gave she laughed and said something like "Oh Sterling for sure. <3 the Silver Fox." and I responded with "But Sterling has been drinking and might get a little handsy during the spot." and she ate it up and said she was good w/ a handsy spotter. So yeah, that kind of flow is soooo much better than "hurf hurf whatcha like to do? oh i like that too"

Oh yeah, so yesterday morning I had a coffee date w/ this girl from okc. We only started chatting like last Wed/Thurs or something but in her 2nd message to me she asked me what I was doing this weekend. I already had plans for Sat so I said busy sat but would she like to meet up for coffee on Sunday morning. She was in. So yesterday we meet up for coffee and she was awesome.

We take our coffee outside since it was a really nice day and about 20 mins into our great chats this guy behind me starts having a seizure! He has 2 friends with him but I call 911 (first time ever) and I help this guy out. We turn him over on his side and wait for the ambulance to come. He probably was fine. Or dead, I dunno.

Anyways, yeah. Great first date. She also has that quality where she was very handsy (like always touching my shoulder or arm when she talked) and very warm/genuine which makes her instantly likable by everyone. Date #2 is on Wednesday.

Don't forget ritual offerings to Thor and Odin, that might be the clincher. Air is confirmed crisp/clear/cold now, it's sweet indeed.

What are you trying to fix?

Try putting the band right above the kneecap, maybe 4" wide, then do some deep air squats while holding onto a doorknob or a rack or something so that you can sit back far enough so that your shins stay vertical. Then give it a few minutes to rest and do the same thing with the band right below the knee.

I saved a man from drowning once but I'd already sealed the deal, so it was all for nothing.

As far as kissing or whatever - meh. As long as you don't make it awkward it doesn't have to be. If your only goal in life is to get kisses on the first date, you probably should be able to get them approaching 100% of the time, but often at the expense of future dates and being a PUA-husk of a person.

SM - if you aren't getting leopard stripes when voodoo flossing (on skin anyway) you're doing it wrong. Also, what are you actually doing when flossing your knee? You may want to find/explore other mobility things. And lastly, sometimes you gotta do things over and over again - I haven't found anything that will autofix myself and I never have to worry again but I guess ymmv.

I got jumped by 2 guys walking a girl home across college campus. One ran off the other stayed behind a ways. I stayed with the girl with my head on a swivel. Unfortunately the deadliest weapons I had on me were a kryptonite bike lock and a kubotan.

Got her home safely and she fixed me up right.

Before we were married, but while we were dating, my wife was mugged once (he hit her on the back of the head with something, and then pushed her down) and was, I guess you'd call it home invaded (someone broke into the house while she was in it, rummaged around, and then left)

Both times I was gone. Thanks Obama indeed. She married me anyway, but ever since I've been forbidden to even consider living down town again.
