These Arnold avatars are giving me the itch to watch Conan the Barbarian (a GOAT film for all you young 'uns itt who weren't even born when the movie came out).

ETA: 6.8 rating on IMDB. What a joke that site is.

ETA2: WTF at the NY Times review. Ban the newspaper!

From the review: "'Conan the Barbarian'' is an extremely long, frequently incoherent, ineptly staged adventure-fantasy set in a prehistoric past. One has the impression that it cost a lot of money, though not all of it is on the screen. One is never unaware that one is watching a lot of extras trot around Spain wearing goathair jogging shorts and horns on their hats."

No but really why is my office stocking the fridge with whole milk...
For the espresso machine. That's why my office stocks it at least.

So that alarm yesterday turned out to be from a hotel a mile away. Drug deal went bad, some people got shot, som people got away, that never happens around here. At least not on Tuesday afternoon and not at the hotels in that neighborhood. This place is going to pot.

At least I'm not dead.

And if you bros are going to juice, after reading that article, I think you all realize that you need to wear condoms when sharing needles. Stay protected bros.

It would seem to me if you feel an OHP in your lower back its because you're leaning back and are making it somewhat of an incline bench because your abs are much weaker then your lower back.

and quick google finds http://stronglifts.com/how-you-can-a...verhead-press/ and it supports what I just said.

I don't think you understand causation vs. correlation. The correct takeaway is that BB turns you gay.

I think you know who to thank.

Maybe think about buying three guns. Be safe.

Edit: changed to three guns. Can't be too safe.

I already have several guns obviously. I think I'll buy three more though. mrscrashjr wants her CCW, need to get her a couple handguns and I want a new .270.

Or I could just buy a box of Trojans. Can't be too safe.

Crossfitters define what they're doing as a sport now? I thought it was to get awesome at broad timeal domains.

Exactly this.

If your thoracic spine & shoulders are bad & you are not capable of getting your arms straight up over your head without flaring your ribs and arching your lower back, you should not be OHPing.

When you arch your lower back to much you can hurt the facet joints, as Aiden mentioned.

ExpectedV - No one is butthurt over your comments/rating of the guy's wife. You just exposed yourself as a huge ******* by what you've been saying in this thread. Grow up.

cha,

I feel you're being insensitive towards the orange minority amongst us.

And the ongoing defense is not helping and really he should just shut up about it.

Telling a young person to "grow up" is certainly a tried and true strategy. Let me know how that works out for you.

Quite interesting. I can see how over arching with axial loading of the spine can pretty much snap your facet joints if you aren't careful. Going back to what I wrote in your log thread, I actually started feeling that sharp pain in the same area of my lumbar herniation after stumbling upon OHPs but never made the connection that they, almost as much as squatting could be responsible for hurting my back. Despite bracing my core and squeezing my glutes, I am sure I have done many last reps with bad form

You know I re-instated heavy back squatting in my regimen and things were going really well till I re-instated OHPs as well. Since then I have had minor spasmodic episodes of that sharp pain I talked about. The problem was that OHPs were probably affecting the already weak part of my lumbar spine and it was only when I was squatting that all the bad things would culminate into a spasm and I blamed the squatting solely.

ty. I really will try hard next time to tighten everything. I was doing it here and there before but next time I'm just going to bring an index card with me that says FLEX or something. I gotta do it every rep.

Falls in love on next tinder date. Things are going great. Girl of your dreams, 6/10, perfect match, etc. Take her back to your place. You go to bathroom to take a leak. She glances over at coffee table, where an index card says FLEX. She cries, imagining a life with a BB who is posing down all the time at home, and she immediately leaves. You never flex again. Your lower back now rounds badly during deadlifts. You dgaf. You get into wine and food. You move to France. No more gains. You always look the same. You are forever alone. Your face when you are Soulman.

Agree with you and cha. EV's comment in itself was merely insensitive, and it would have been a simple matter for him to say oops, sorry, and everyone to move on. But the way he's chosen to conduct himself afterwards has revealed at best an lol lack of social intelligence, and at worst the prototypical example of a beta desperate to be seen as an alpha.

yeah, the sharp pain going away in ~ a week sounds like facet joint issues. I think youre right - bad ohps probably caused it.
