160/mo of pokerz is really not that much. Guize, I think we found someone who can believe in my 250x5 by Octobro challenge.

Take it from someone that's done 250x5 and more -- getting there in a month is hard, even while doing TM. Can you do a triple at 250 yet? If you could, I'd say the goal is possibly doable; if you can't, almost certainly not.

September goals:
--No missed workouts
--Keep diet tight and get this lean massing thing going
--Begin progressing my lower body lifts out of jellydick territory

if anyone's ever like "hey let's go white water tubing", say no. It's dumb.

Well we all know what you think with

You must of been on a lazy river bro. Try some classIV+ rapids.
09-02-2013 , 04:03 PM
no. it was not a lazy river. rapids are the dumb part. White water rafting is fun. Tubing? Jesus it's dumb. Guaranteed injuries.

lol kc setting us up for why he can't lift this weak. We forgive him tho because his injured lifts still surpass us

Didn't realize it was a holiday until I arrived at the gym and it was completely full #selfemployedproblems

Multiple people asking what I was doing tomorrow seemed a bit odd yesterday.

I wish I had a lifting partner. My wife hates lifting. It's hard to find one cause mostly I hate everyone.

I see the naked squatting cancer from last month's thread has now fully metastasized to this month's thread in the form of fraternal love pumps or some nonsense.

This month's goals
- finish my pulls in snatch/c&j
- 185 snatch
- 210 c&j
- 215 bw
- 385x3 DL

lol how many times did you flip and eat **** through the rapids. it's a terrible experience, rafting is much more fun if you stay inside the vessel.

last time i went white water rafting i fell out of the rafts right at the start of some category 5 or some chit, spent 2 minutes getting sucked under by the current and hitting rocks.

cliffs: damn nature you scary

Great success! I didn't die, and I landed it exactly where I wanted.

09-02-2013 , 06:01 PM
grats! How long did it take to cut down?
09-02-2013 , 06:19 PM
The longest part was the setup. I had to attach the cable up high, then string it around that cherry tree across the driveway to use as a fulcrum point down to my tractor, which kept the cable taut. Then I made the face cut, two plunge cuts on either side, drove wedges into the plunge cuts, then made the back cut to cut up to the slot made by the plunge cuts, leaving only the hinge and two wedges holding the tree up. Then I drove another wedge into the back cut and kept pounding it in until the tree started to fall.

Fail fail, haha.

Life is gonna be simple for a while, so Sept goals will be to not get too fat, figure out my maintenance, and get a nice start on getting my bench strength back.

I've been white water rafting twice. Summer of '02 and '03, I want to say. Both times in Maine with a bunch of friends. We didn't do class 5. Mostly 3s and some 4s. First time I got bounced in a pretty scary spot where I got flipped over the end, then the raft landed on me, but the rapid was strong enough that it just sucked me out. I was young and full of zest for life then so it was awesome and I had a great time. The second trip me and a friend of mine both got bounced on an initial twelve foot waterfall drop. We were both in the back. But that was into a calm pool at the bottom. The rest of the rafting experience was great. You're with friends, you're with a competent guide giving instructions the whole time, and if something happens you have people trying to save your ass.

This was white water tubing. Like this:

It is beyond stupid. Look at that poor sap who's off his tube. He's right ****ed.

The rapids weren't bad (class 1s and class 2s), but you don't really have much control in a god damn tube. There's no guide or anything, they just rent you the tube and life jacket and helmet (which is optional for some bizarre reason), and drop you in the river. It was a water release day plus it started pouring right when we got in, so it was pretty fast. Lots and lots of rocks and debris and fallen trees.

The problem is lack of control and stability. You can control yourself OK before you hit the rapids, but once you do you have to hold onto the handles in order to not lose the tube. And then your only real control is shifting your weight instinctively. You will get flipped. And then you're ****ed.

I got flipped 3 times I think. Definitely at least 2. The first time was up on a big rock that the rapid pushed me into. Many people got flipped here. I smashed my shin pretty badly then. The other times weren't as bad but once was in the middle of the river and if I were a worse swimmer I probably wouldn't have gotten to the banks before the next set of rapids. That woulda sucked.

There was one girl on our trip who def bailed like a quarter of a way down the river and cut through someone's yard and walked back. I lel'd.

My injury list is:
- Left shin contusion. Quite swollen. Moderate pain when walking.
- Something muscular in the left adductor near the knee, not far from where I smashed it. Probably related.
- Bruised tailbone from all the rocks.
- minor cuts and scrapes on my hands.
- Minor bruising on my left ankle.

My abs are also sore because you're in a permanent crunch position for about 75 minutes.
