gl though. Your program does look like Crossfit minus heavy weights (though I may have just missed them, just looked quickly). I always liked that atmosphere and found it very good for compliance.

So, three months in and virtually no change. Have you considered adding more tallow to your diet?

Just embarrassed to post. I get going than lose momentum. As I get older summer easy to work out and winter harder. It was the opposite when I was younger.

Heading to Vegas next week and my skinny shorts 230lbs last year dont fit. So I have to go out an d buy some fat shorts.

I am thinking of cancelling my TV for the summer as an extreme measure

oh 254.6

Suzzer must be knocking out of the park as he is so busy working out to post

My tallow post was a H&F in joke fwiw, search BearMarkets thread for tallow if you want the context. Seriously though, you both should start logging itt ala ytf. It works, ffs he weighs less than both of you now, which is pretty amazing considering where he started. Enough short term goals before trips and promises to get serious, start writing **** down today and posting it in here to keep yourselves accountable

Ill read his thread but the first post sounds nuts?

The bearmarkets thread is nuts and the dude was probably just trolling imo. It's honestly probably not even a productive read and just a waste of time imo.

Here's a good article about talking about getting started and keeping going. He makes some really good points and I think some of the advice would be very helpful to the both you and Sizzlah.

I read it and the link to the Biggest Loser was interesting

http://www.huffingtonpost.ca/yoni-fr...b_2473934.html

Though I disagree with some of it as the show does follow up with contestants and has shown the ones that have maintained and the ones that have not.

Also their approach to the kids I thought was great. Change the whole families lifestyle and the kids will follow. The kids did great on the show

Well Isaid I pipe in here good or bad. With Suzzer's lack of posts I have to think he is also not doing well.

Sad week for me going to Vegas and bothing fit and my back pain has come back. Low and behold on the scale at 258.6. Saw myself in the mirror in Vegas and was disgusted.

Winter just kills me and no excuse. Well back at it again last year best was 231 the Yo yo has to stop

Lozen, suzzer:

Do you guys log your food in myfitnesspal or something similar?

If not, you should.

Check out ytf's log or the you talk to fatties thread in OOT. The people following the simple advice in those threads are easily dropping tons of weight.

I lost 2% bf and gained a lb. of muscle in my dunk tank challenge thing, despite missing basically a month with travel and injury. Still need to lose about 30 lbs. I have a trip at the end of the month, then I'm gonna go not drinking for a while. That's really the only thing holding me back.

I've done 5 days in a row of my fitness class last two weeks. Going for 6 this week. I'm not stressing too much about my diet while I'm trying to build up the intensity in that class and work is nutso busy. I still eat mostly healthy, I just don't go hungry or watch my carbs.

Also I've had some luck with women lately, so as long as I'm not gaining fat I'm ok with making slow progress. The biggest thing for me is how good the exercise class makes me feel. The endorphin release is cathartic. I'd rather go through an hour of extreme painful exertion than be hungry and irritable all day.

I can definitely diet some more than I'm doing right now. But until and unless my work lets up I can't really hit that hard w/o biting my coworkers' heads off and jeopardizing my career. Well maybe with a lot of Xanax or something.

Suzzer,

So you have that same special hunger as ytf described in the OOT thread?

What's your weight at?

254 - 193 lean body mass though

I'm not going to get in the whole argument about hunger thing, except say that I know my brain and I know my body. I've lost 50 pounds twice in my life, and 30 pounds a few other times. I've done it a bunch of different ways. Initially starving myself, which was very bad. Then doing it much more healthy.

But there was no time that I didn't feel under a lot of extra stress while losing weight, nor was I particularly pleasant to be around. Just can't do that with work being so crazy right now, learning a whole new technology, and having a new boss. I need to be 100% with a smile on my face.

Suzzer,

You should read the OOT thread and ytf's log and see what he had to say about hunger then and now.

lozen,

Original YTF thread - YTF says similar things as Suzzer about it being impossible for him to lose weight because he gets hungry in a way the rest of us can't understand and he doesn't lose weight as easily as others. A couple of other people chime in saying similar things. Many other people say that is silly and suggest things to try.

YTF log - YTF decides to follow the advice given in that thread and start a log.

Cliffs: YTF 6/26/12 380 lbs, 4/12/13 233 lbs. daryn 275-219. yeota (another who was saying similar things as ytf/suzzer) 270-218. Numerous others w/ solid progress as well.

I wish I could track down a clip of that old SNL skit where Dukakis's rebuttal is 'I can't believe I'm losing to this guy!', would be appropriate when lozen hits the suzzer section of the original YTF thread
