EV is a physique bro logger in this forum who has a tendency to shave off the top and bottom 20% of his ROM for many of his lifts. He's also famous for low WIM in general.

I don't necessarily have a problem with those pullups with regards to building muscle (see: Jason Huh, et al). But that seated press is a f'n joke. I assume he was trolling you guys there.

Thanks. Still a long ways from 292.

I see partial ROM alot from body builders in particular. I wonder if there's any particular reason. Do they believe it saves their joints or something? Or maybe for appearance they want to just overload that portion of the range and the end is not necessary? idk I'm just pulling stuff out of the air.

agree with previous posts that it looks like you had more in you. Did you think about going up to 235 after how well 230 moved? Are you following any sort of program?

Yeah maybe I could have done 235. But I'll save that for another day. I'm not greedy haha.
I tend to be fairly conservative when I attempt PRs. Alot of the time I'm pretty sure I can do it based on how my working weights have felt before I attempt it.

I'm not really following an exact program. Mostly going by feel.

My bench is probably the most structured.
My heavy day is based on a program developed by a guy named Long Nguyen. He benched 410 at 154 lbs. Except he does it 3 times a week. He's just an anomoly as far as I can tell. He's a skinny looking Vietnamese guy, He has long arms and benches with almost no arch.

My second day I do Larsen presses and incline and then a bunch of chest and tri accessories.

I try to do back accessories throughout the week.

OHP I've been doing once a week and just try to do a bunch of sets that are relatively heavy.

Squat and deadlift I don't really care about so I just do whatever once a week.

Felt weaker today overall. Not sure if it's from maxing out on the press or going up slightly on my top single or maybe both. Or maybe I didn't rest long enough between my set.
But I failed a rep for the first time in a long time. Probably going to take it easy until next week just in case.

The deload definitely helped. Felt way better today. Felt like I could've done another rep on every set.

One pet peeve I have in the gym is people taking weights off my station particularly while I'm in the middle of a set. Like they can't walk 5 more feet to the next empty station or wait the literal 5 seconds it would yake for me to finish my set and ask if I'm going to use it. Also it's funny when I tell them, "yeah I'm going to use those 45s" they always give me a doubtful look like I wouldn't be able to get up 225.

I've been rolling out my triceps daily with a lacrosse ball
to manage my elbow pain. My left elbow in particular. It seems to be right at the tip of the elbow. The ball has helped considerably. I also use a flex bar everyday as a preventive measure for golfers elbow. That has worked great.

Today felt pretty easy. I will probably bump up the weight on my set of 5s and 3s to see how that feels next week.
