Completely beat up today. I usually do 3-4hr sessions but I never try as hard as I did yesterday at damn near my limit on a lot of problems. Thinking back I know I can do all the intermediate problems just not in one session sight unseen. I could also have put down a couple of the easier advanced problems too.

She won but couldn’t do the third finals problem, flashed the first two. Granted the world class climber in our gym was in europe so she didn’t have much of a challenger. That girl just won nationals in two disciplines so it would have been an epic battle.

Only one flash unfortunately. I would have had to complete the five hardest and hoped. Same format as campus competition, you can dip into the level above if you want. I’ll try to find results when posted.

She legit is a ball of muscle. In like the first ~15 minutes I’m waiting on the easiest advanced climb (open is hardest category) and I hear a “are you waiting on the black route?” I turn around and it’s her. So I had to tell Puccio, no I suck and am trying to figure out if I can do the easiest advanced problem lol. I let her go before me and she breasted a route I watched a handful of guys maybe get halfway on.

Just a whole lot of meh lately. Lots of travel, being sick and having to go out to work related stuff at night. Need to get back into a groove.

Exercise 113

Climbing 3 hours

Solid session, gym was completely reset after the comp. Either I had a good day or the new set is super easy. If you believe my gym grades (don’t) I sent over a dozen problems from V3-V5. Flashed a bunch of them too.

This session was supposed to be technique + lock off work but of course I was enamored with all the new problems and just went nuts.

5/4 off - slept horribly and was wiped all day. Left work early and got about 10 hours of sleep. Need to start listening to my body more so I’m gonna count this as a win.

Exercise 114

Climbing gym 4 hours

Footwork drills
Lockoff work
Projecting

Didn’t send/try anything new over V4. Did a ton of lockoff work on V1/V2ish routes. Basically locked off each move on 20 or so problems. Worked on quiet feet and using my toes more.

Finished by getting shut down on a handful of attempts on a V5+/V6- crimpy route but overall a good day of volume and technique work.

Might just keep upping the warm up and cool down mileage this month until I’m back to getting into the 7-8km zone by months end.
