Did not die. First set looked a little high, even after accounting for rear oblique always making it look bad. Filmed from the side for next two and tried to go a hair lower. I think it's right on the line on average, some are a tad high and some a little low. With more sleep I think I'd do a little better so I'm not stressing it too much but'd be interested in others opinion.

Pleasantly surprised to get these. Tried slightly closer grip and focus on big bounce and keeping elbows tucked. Still plan to start TM for press/bench next week.

Gym was about to close I had to split up squats from other stuff due to having an early evening commitment. Not a big deal in and of itself but my back is definitely a little underdeveloped from back stuff always being last and being tired when I get to it.

Sleep has been good. Foods been alright. RL stress has sadly been higher than I'd like but not much I can do about that atm.

Did not die. Second set looked a little high, first may well have been too. It's been creeping up as the weight gets heavier. Something to look out for. Still I was at one point in warmups contemplating just quiting and questioning why I even care about squatting so I was glad I tried.

90% of previous working weight 195-1 one increment. (1.25lbs). So I'll do 195 again on ID abd move up from there. This is the advice I got on transition to TM so it's what I'm doing.

This was more frustrating than the front squat failure. It's one fewer rep than last time and felt heavy throughout warmups. Definitely could be eating more but surprising it makes that much of a difference. Oh well.

You really need to catch the bar on your shoulders not in your arms/hands.

But also your power cleans are not gonna do **** to help your dls. If you want to do them for other reasons, great, but something like bb rows would be >>> as a dl accessory.

Yeah, it's a little hard to tell with the light right there but it does look like you're catching it on the fingers and you don't want to be feeling it in the wrists. Wider grip can help, as can racking front squats the same way for familiarity (this was probably the most helpful for me). Two other things are to concentrate on rotating your arms open after the pull right before elbows up (and you can help by rotating the other way at the bottom), and bending your knees a bit more at the rack--like catching the weight with your legs instead of arms. It's still a "power" clean until you crack 90 degrees with your knees (I think).

This is interesting since it is sort of the opposite of the Rip/SS view. Definitely something I'll want to read up more on. I do want to be competent at PC's but I want to get my DL up more so depending on what I decide reintroducing PC's into my programming may be postponed.

Pursuant to the previous discussion of PC's as a deadlift accessory. I've decided I'm going to do both RDL's and PC's on that day. If that becomes too much to recover from we'll go from there. Chose RDL's because they mirror the deadlift motion and will hopefully help me with eccentric portion

Been getting over a cold. Felt crappy today but went anyway. I think I was less effected by the cold itself and more by not eating much the last couple days. Had a lot of DOMS in my quads and glutes before I started. Also camera was super low battery so no film.
