I do not follow this log super close but it seems like you are progressively lifting less in most of the lifts. Is this a planned strategy?

This is now a kitesurfing thread with occasional workouts in a condo gym .

First session of the season!

Cherry Beach 12:30pm - 1pm
Air temp: 6c
Water temp: 3c
Wind Speed: 8-12knots WSW
Gear: 13.4m kite, 60cm mast, 5/4/3 wetsuit

First time with my new 13.4m kite, used 60cm mast as my last session was in October .

It was incredible. Plenty of power for the first bit, was able to do some S turns. New kite was fantastic, never doubted it would stay in the air even with luls down to 6knots or so. Eventually got cold and came in. Can't wait for the season to start for real.

Partner won a ski trip to BC for last weekend. Three days of skiing which was really fun. Took my first ever lesson which was eye opening. Was doing some black diamonds by the end of the trip.

Today (condo gym):
500m row
5 min flow-ish warmup
Hamstring and calf stretches
Clamshells 50 per side x 2
PC (to rack bar) + FS (no squat rack or real plates so the bar starts only a few inches off the ground)
10x20
5x60,100,140
5x160x3
DL (deficit due to no real plates) 5x180,210,230
1 Leg Squats 15 per side x 2
Ab wheel rollouts 15, 12

Praying for wind tomorrow

Oops catching up.

Last Sunday great session at Cherry Beach. Easterly in the low to high teens. Somehow I managed to have a great session on my new 4.8m kite which was awesome although underpowered. Too cold to stay out long.

Yesterday, back at Cherry Beach again. First mini session was way underpowered on a SW and 4.8m kite. Forecast was for it to built instead it dropped. Came back in to warm up. Wind picked up again but was shifting west so offshore - went out but was very sketchy. Wind at the airport (a couple miles away) was reading gusts well over 20knots. Came back in until wind shifted back to SW, tried again on a friends foil but couldn't get up as I wasn't used to the surfboard style board he uses.

Today, condo gym:
500m row
5 minute flow, ham and calf stretches
scap pushups 20x2
db ext rotations 20x5lbx2
YTs (10+10) x2
Turkish get ups 30lb KB 3/side * 2
DB Bench 10x40 x3
BB Row 90x8 x3

Wednesday, made it out of work at 3pm and was on Woodbine Beach by 4pm. Wind was 15 gusting maybe 20 knots for the next 2 hours. Had an awesome time on my 4.8m kite again. Probably too small but still a great time, only difficulty was riding toe side on my bad side. Waves were very fun to run down every so often. Only 3 other kiters. Water is still 4c so it was colddddd

Thursday:
Made it out of work at 4pm and at Cherry Beach by 5pm. Great 90 mins session in 8-15 knots on the 13.4m. Air temp was about 8C and water temp is up to 5C (woooo).

Went down to only 1 footstrap and started to practice switching feet while on a reach. Managed to completely swap feet a few times while the board was on the water. Got cold after crashing too many times so switched to practicing figure eights (heelside to toeside and vice versa transitions). My bad side (right foot forward) started to feel better. Bigger, slower kite definitely makes things easier though.

Today:
500m row, 5 mins flow, ham and calf stretch
Clamshells 50 e/s x2
PC to FS: 8x20 5x70,120,150,170 x2
DL: 5x190,220
Cut both lifts somewhat sort as I didn't feel all that great. Donated blood last week and not 100% still. Also the site seemed to start bruising during deadlifts which was annoying.
1 leg squats 15 e/s x2
Eccentric glute-ham raises 6x2
