just bad table selection in this case, but whatever this argument got stupid a long time ago

I much prefer Tabasco to Frank's.

Also, apparently SS grows both shoulders and beards.

wat the fk

tabasco > frank's? that makes no sense.

awesome.

how many cals a day did you eat again miles?
09-10-2009 , 04:29 PM
about 4000 daily plus large amounts of beer maybe twice a week. i weigh 10lb more in the polished shorts, but i think some of that weight is because of the creatine.

Any plans to go higher than 4k?
09-10-2009 , 04:34 PM
Man I want some boneless wings from buffalo wild wings tonight...

but I looked up the nutrition facts.

88 cals/wing, 6 G fat, 3 G carbs, 5 G protein

assuming i eat my standard like 15 wings... this can't be good.

nope. i just want to get as strong as i can at around 240.

karak,

there isn't a B-DUBS close to me (though one is opening soon), but when i go party with my friend in arizona, we always eat there at least once. last time i went, i had ~30 wings (mostly mango habanero) and the burger with blue cheese, whatever it's called.

Considering I was planning a cheat meal of buffalo wings for the Steelers tonight, I now hate you.

there's a good quote by Sartre in one of his short stories. the character - about to be executed the next day - looks back at his life and realized that all his life he had been "counterfeiting eternity."

life's short - eat the wings.

(then go for a 7 mile jog to work them off )

Ok I found out its actually a quite badly sprained elbow. Its the ligaments that are slightly stretched and torn. Treatment was simply RICE and some anti inflammatories. The rehab he is doing is just gentle stuff to increase the range of motion slowly apparantly. 4-6 weeks to heal he hopes. Does this make sense?

Anyone else have thoughts on this? Programming and exercise suggestions for someone with an arm out of commission?
09-10-2009 , 04:58 PM
Ah, ligament sprain. That makes more sense.

He needs to strengthen the surrounding muscles and tissues. This means grip strength, bicep strength, tricep strength, and increasing bone cortex thickness.

Which, of course, means to lift heavy-ass weights. Until he can, he should do light work with DBs and SPRI bands to tolerance. It will feel uncomfortable, but he must rehab it aggressively and completely.
09-10-2009 , 05:18 PM
Cool, so for upper body he should be doing band and dumbbell work as much as possible?

What about for example squatting etc. Should he just follow some sort of SS protocol? I don't think he can DL right now at all. Or power clean etc..

It's the ranch and hone mustard dressings I'd be worried about ...
