Just back from Spain, ate a lot, drank some more

2300 cals during the day.. then went to a games evening a buddy was hosting.. had some carrots, hummus, cheese+crackers, a couple of crisps.. think I ate too early in the day, so I got peckish later in the evening..

The two main tenets of a weight loss diet, for me personally, is to not drink at home, only out on social occasions.. and to stay away from all confectionary- chocolate, crisps, pastries etc at all times. Got the habitbull app to record both of these.. should be doable imo..

Just back from Brixton indoor training, went really well, good level of intensity, all primed for indoor regionals this wkend. My game was pretty solid.. as the main handler on my team I had to take some high risk shots, most of which came off.. also pretty happy with my atletic ability atm, made a few nice grabs tonight in the air.

Day 1 of indoor regionals- went well.. we've got quite a 'limited' team for this, so learning to play within ourselves and leaving the big throws to the big players was something I said at the start of the day.. overall we did pretty well, won 3 lost 2, got a crossover Sunday morning to go top 8 which would almost qualify us for nationals.. and it happens to be against a team that recently splintered from ours.. lol drama

Pretty happy with my own game.. fitness wasn't briliant but thats to be expected as I haven't done any focus fitness work for months.. my intensity on D and body positioning was generally very good, and my throw selection was excellent, don't think I threw a turnover all game, despite still taking on some of those big shots to the breakside and to hit the iso.

Feel my captaining this wkend has been really really good, a few harsh words were given at times, when needed, and I feel the team is pretty much performing as well as it can, with high intensity and high expectations.. so much easier to captain when its a bunch of guys, and its a competitive event.. when its a mixed squad and lower level, strkining that balance between having fun and competitiveness is tough

Sunday 3rd- 207lbs

Day 2 of regionals.. tough day, lost all 4 games.. bit disappointed.. not sure what went wrong.. we had a couple of trigger happy handlers who fancy themselves, threw a few too many big shots that didnt connect, then teams we were playing against just didn't give us the disc back.. oh well.. i played pretty well.. not great but ok.. mostly quite conservative as the other 2 were trying to take on the big shots..

Finished with like 3148cals.. which included 2 pints with the team after the tourney.. which is fine.. and then went round to gf's place, she had a box of chocolates left out beside the couch, so blitzed 300cals there.. which is not fine.. asked her to make sure there's no chocolates left visible next time I'm there lol

Monday 4th- 208lbs

Carbs- 272g

Spent over an hour yday cooking food for the tourney, diner for the weak (chilli), and cooking chicken breast in the oven for sandwiches for lunch.. Got home, so tired from the tourney at the wkend and not sleeping great, chose not to eat any of that, had a pizza feast instead.. what an idiot.. but there's no other food in the house now, which is great, meal prep all the way for the rest of the week, getting closer to be sub 205 regularly

Been trying to meditate more regularly, think its got lots of benefits that expand to across different areas of my life, as well as helping me with my mental toughness for ultimate.

Also have officially given up alcohol until the first wkend in March, future brother in law's stag do.. shouldn't be so hard to shift this weight, and alcohol tends to pervade and impact other areas of my life.. think I'm just a more productive and fulfilled person without it.

whoops, while since last post.. been dieting well, down to 203lbs the other morning, was pretty sensible over christmas

Been doing bit more lifting, set up a home gym in the spare bedroom in my new pad, got a rack, bench, barbell, plates and dumbbells.. oh and an ab wheel.. and a pullup bar.. and a 20kg kettlebell.. so pretty much everything I could want.. should be committing to lifting hard now!

The other day I did
Squat- 75kg

Pullups- 5,5,5

Just got back from a tournament, played pretty well, we did very well for the team that we had, and good fun had by all..

No drinking is going very well too.. until last night, at the tournament party, I just walked into a bar and was just handed a glass of cocktail that the tournamnet is famous for.. nobody knows what it is, only known as 'green ****'.. so had 1 glass of that, and one shot of tequila.. also had a chocolaate milkshake with dinner which violated the no sugar rule.. still came in pretty on the calcounter but

One of the other secret to success seems to be the foodprep.. got the freezer stocked with food atm, got a cheeky slowcooker.. crockpot.. and its super easy make good, healthy food in large quantities for the week.. very happy with it.

Also been meditatiing regularly, been feeling much more calm and in control of my emotions lately, definetly happy with how thats been affecting me so far.

Been throwing very regularly too, probably like 11 days out of the last 15, so my throws feeling very sharp now as well.

all in all.. I'm in a really good place atm, fitness levels going up, weight going down. just gotta carry on ingraining these habits into my lifestyle

Went to Brixton indoors last night, pretty good session, focusing on playing in a zone defence, often not loking at the disc straight after a pass has been completed, but finding the next threat first. I played pretty well.. throws were a bit wobbly during warmup.. hadn't meditated in a couple of days, starting to douby myself suddenly all over again.. was fine in game.

I feel that swapping the gf for a disc dog would let you get more throwing/less pizza into your regime.
