Have you considered just taking pushdowns/curls to failure each set? They cause such low fatigue, might as well go ham on them.
I hate rope pushdowns. I feel like last few reps my traps to most of the pushing. Prob should convert to V bars. For curls yeah basically do. Well after first 2 sets I really feel the burn.
