To parallel bro. I am not a faggity bodybuilder with partial reps. Well I was but then Lord of Squat took me under his wing. I am still an embarrassment to him but one day. One day.

Haha well good work bro. I think I'm gonna do the same range of motion to control my butt wink so I don't enter the location of no return, the city of snap.

12/10
Bodyweight 160
Bill Starr 5x5 week 4 day 1
Squat 230 3x5 (PR)
Bench 200 5x5
Pendlay 95x5 115x5 135x5 140x5 150x5
1arm cable row 12, 10, 8

The last set of squats is below. Can't really tell from my phone but looks like I have pushed "cutting depth" to its maximum. Don't really care though, first couple of sets were deeper.

It's becoming apparently obvious my core is weak. And that I should address that. At the end of the workout the Abwheel was staring at me. And some little blonde was doing planks. Still walked out of the gym without doing any corework. Gotta put the work in. I hate hard abwork almost as much as i hate squats. Love easy stuff with cables.

Oops there is error on video. That's 230 not 220. On to 235 on Thursday.

Here is why I am a volume monkey. Before June2012 I was mostly a 3x6 type of guy (RPT style).

This picture is from June 2012. Weight is about 167.
Spoiler:

This pic is from March 2013. Weight is 164.

Spoiler:

Obviously there is some pump and lightening going on. Those pics are 9months apart.
My bench press went up like 10 pounds during that time frame since I was mostly cutting (80% of the time I was cutting during that time frame).

Obviously going back to volume eventually. That shiet changes your body.

if you're gonna squat like that put the bar lower. if you're gonna high bar sit back less. flare your feet a bit and keep your knees out. Squat between your legs.

Will try. Keep forgetting. Feet forward right now, but knees not very out. Have no idea what torque feels like. And yes, knees easier for me to get out if I angle my feet.

Loco,

Stand up. Squeeze your glutes + try to turn your feet outward like you're twisting the floor away from you. That's what hip torque feels like. Your hips should feel tighter and more stable.

I think feet forward is aids. **** torque and think knees out instead.

fakeb,

honestly **** candito.

This was actually the first time in a long time I've eaten bread pudding. Tomorrow is 270x5x3 for me. Trusting in the loco-science of bread pudding to fuel my gainz.

I agree with ** candito (the hybrid thing seems not awesome). But I dno, feet forward has really helped me. And/or along with very wide stance speed box squats.

But I also think feet forward in my case. Thinking "knees out" without generating the torque is just a one-way ticket to knee cave for me and always has been.

Btw KC, I finally figured out why you hate K-star so much! Maybe you mentioned it before but I think I saw you on FB (forget which mutual H&F friend) and was like "ooooh, I get it now."

But seriously, supple leopard is the bomb. Sure some things are overrated, his knob gets slobbed, and sometimes he sounds sooooo annoying. But, it's a better world with the K-man than without him.
Faster than Ever: Loco runs a sub5 Mile Quote
12-10-2013 , 11:42 PM
yeah he pronounces it wrong too. Very annoying.

I like and do a lot of his mob work. Feet forward still sucks for ~95% of the population and is a fairly minor deal for the remaining 5%. Somewhere in the 15-30deg range is better than somewhere from 5-10.

The important thing is you can ****ing squat. If your feet are forward and you can squat and your knees hold up and everything feels good then fine, keep doing it. Loco right now can say "but K-STAR" if he wants, but he's not even squatting. He's doing some weird standing leg press. If he'd just do a natural 3rd world squat (should be natural for him) and hung out down there for a bit, my guess is his feet would be decently flared and the position would feel natural. Now just do the same thing with a bar on your back and keep your knees out using whatever cue helps you.

Oh and sweet subtle non-friending btw.
