Faster than Ever: Loco runs a sub5 Mile - Page 351

Well I just got a email that I can try and get a spot at the 2024 tokyo marathon. They have 300 spots they are giving to 4star+ medal holders. Problem is tokyo only 14 weeks out.

I went ahead and I applied. Also getting another try in about two weeks. That one is for the London marathon 2024 and they have 500 spots available for 4star+ medal holders. I actually think I have a decent (25% chance) of getting into London. Tokyo probably a long shot.

Big city marathons are fantastic. Some of my favorite memories are from those races. It's amazing, you can see the whole city in three hours, the road closed for you. And the public is great, especially at the end. They yelling your name, cheering like crazy. It's the closest you will feel to a champion.

They gonna probably add a seventh star (Sidney). But I always wanted to do that one, so i will be fine with that. Actually I hope they add an 8th one (rome or paris).

Going to add a long run soon. Gotta be ready to pounce on this last minute opportunity. I will definitely start logging if I getting into either of those marathons. Hoping it's london because I don't want to go to tokyo until the casinos open.

Sydney is the one I ran. Not nearly as big a marathon as the current majors but iconic course…at least when I ran it. Over the Harbour Bridge, past the Opera House through some incredible parks and then out to and finishing next to the Olympic Stadium

Not a fast course by comparisons but I enjoyed it

Good to see you're still at it. Congratulations on your success in marathons. I hope you're doing just as well with poker. Went through a brief stint of early morning running about a month ago. Felt pretty good. Well tbh it was more like a cross between walking and jogging but I certainly worked up a sweat. When's the Sydney marathon on? I'm intending on doing a trip to Sydney so I may be able to incorporate it in at the time you're here so we could meet. Obviously dependant on whether you want to meet and how busy you are at the time. Let me know closer to the date and I'll pm you.
