Re: Realities of Natty Training: Loco vs Kipchoge at the Berlin Marathon

Thanks guys.

The time has come to pull the plug but my brother's wife says as long as he blinks an eye, she will proceed with life support (he has zero consciousness). . Straight out of a facking movie.

I failed Boston qualification but I got into Chicago, so I applied and got accepted. Chicago it is.

After Berlin, I took it easy but still ran. 16-20 miles a week, but recently a bunch at marathon pace. Fitness is down over 10% according to my watch. It's always surprising how fast I lose fitness and strength when I lower my volume. I never facking come back stronger from a layoff or taking it easy.

As a natty, there is no such thing as overtraining. More is almost always better. Four days after the marathon I felt fine and I should have pushed forward again. But the facking donks said to take it easy for a month. My advice is that deloads for nonpros are fake as fack. Your vacation is a deload, don't ever deload.

But having said that, running 3x a week with 2x a week lifting has brought back the baseball bat boners and a very well sense of being. However, I been drinking more and will be programming again. This time pokerron will be going down. I will have 1 mile, 5k, 10k, half marathon, and marathon records. I have the first two, he has the last three.

Re: Realities of Natty Training: Loco vs Kipchoge at the Berlin Marathon

I try to think about what the moral to my brother's life is, and I think about his big heart. This guy ran a 4:50 mile with no cross country experience, just playing soccer. He gave so much to his family and didn't receive much in return.

I always very studious, so one of the funniest stories ever was when I tackled US history with Mrs Petrek. Everyone avoided her because she did not give out As. I took her on and she gave out the first A in years. That year I was called as history student of the year for 9th grade for my high school. I was so proud but later on they called 10th grade history student of the year. It was my big bro!!!!!!!!! He don't even study!! That was my big bro. The world was his oyster.

He met a girl. He fell in love and he was devoted, never went to college. He gave up everything for her and his daughter. He didn't take care of himself but he took care of everyone around him. That's the moral, take care of yourself and everyone around you.

Loco,

My deepest sympathy on the loss of your brother.

Iíve lost a brother too. Itís like losing a piece of oneself. Iíve struggled to try to understand the senselessness of losing someone so young and so much a part of my very essence.

Iím so sorry.

Xoxo

Josie
