That's because I naturally have plenty of swimmers and the GOAT swimmer is going to impregnate. If I do juice, I may kill the GOAT swimmer and some ****** might win instead. Easy game. Tinybro for life.

let me learn ya some knowledge.

bodybuilders/powerlifters almost never get sick, ever. no colds, flu, because their immune system is on hyperdrive. by the powers of transitive logic we can deduce that roids will in fact kill off your weakest swimmers, and leave the best ones untouched.

you got the genetics, you got the lean ness. you could blow up to 180 leannnn if you wanted to in a couple months. not the dbol puffy face crap, like walking statue in 3 months.

10 years from now you're gonna be like "damn, shoulda listened to CR, now i have a stupid kid and no money or time for roids"

Yeah but I can already bench around 235. And that's bodybuilding bench, very little assistance from triceps/shoulders. So 300 sounds like a reachable goal.

I can probably only deadlift 280 right about now. Squat? Maybe 225. Maybe.

The hardest by far is 170 pounds at less than 10%. I know some of you scoff at that, but hey remember at 18 I was 5'10" 118 pounds. My genetic potential according to lyle is going to be between 150 and 165 pounds of LBM. Since I have a small frame, closer to 150 LBM. Just being realistic brothers. Obviously I am just going to just keep training. If I get all swole, so be it. If I remain a stick figure, well that's fine also.

I agree, "should be very doable", but is there any 10% bf poster in H&F who can hit 270/315/360 B/S/D...?

Easy. One word. Jayswole. And I am pretty sure he blows those numbers away.

Forgot Busto. He can do that also.

I don't know who Jayswole is, but I am aware of busto's log and it seems unlikely he is 10% bf and highly improbable he can squat 315.

Admittedly you have exceptional dedication but achieving those goals would be very very impressive for a recreational lifter IMO.

Loco -

you seem overly concerned about "genetic potential". Chaos and Pain had a post about this: http://chaosandpain.blogspot.com/201...on-part-1.html (Not safe for anywhere).

Q: How much muscle do you think a person can gain, naturally, over a lifetime? Here are some calculators I found, but I wanted to know what you thought: http://www.builtlean.com/2011/03/30/...ain-naturally/

A: This is, without question, one of the dumbest and most pointless "intellectual" exercises in which one could engage. If you're wondering why, it's because there's no point to it. Science has yet to find a method for determining the genetic ceiling for human performance for NFL athletes, and if corporation putting hundreds of millions of dollars a year into the subject cannot come up with a test for that, there's little chance that your average internet strength guru has a ****ing clue what your genetic potential is.
Quote:
The only thing dumber than these metrics [genetic potential formulae] are the ****ing idiots blathering on about them on the internet as if they're some sort of benchmark for who's using gear, coming from the vaunted vantagepoint of an internet warrior who knows nothing, lifts less than nothing, and wouldn't know deductive reasoning from a ten-speed bicycle.
He illustrates his point with a number of old-time lifters who were shredded to **** and lifted before the advent of steroids eg Arthur Saxon (5' 10", 210lbs).

Cliffs: no excuses.

I am not really too obsessive about genetic potential. I just try to come up with goals that seem reasonable at a natural weight. Yeah, yeah the bench is disproportional but if I made it proportional then I would accomplish it within 4 months.

I think this log is going to be on here for a while. It might take 15 months to get to 170, 8% bodyfat. But I just know if I make it to 300,350, 400 I will sort of look like I Lift.

This is 154 pounds right here. And the worst part of all is how weak I am. I mean, I can probably do maybe 13 or 14 pullups on a good day. That's facking ****. I mean I weigh 152, I should be doing 20. And my rowing?? Its pathetic. I use 60lbs for dumbell rows. 115 pounds for Pendlay rows.

And yet while my lats are crap, I have decent thickness at 154. Which in my opinion, tells me I am little closer to genetic potential than you guys really think (even if I am still quite far away). CR is right. In two years I will probably be crying under my bed about why I still look like I don't Lift. But that's fine also. I am going to give it my best shot. And my best shot has always been better than anyone around me. So bring it boys. Going to do go do some squats right now. Not sure if I am going for 185 or 190 for 5 reps. Can't wait til I can squat 225 for 5 reps. I will be so happy. Tiny aspirations for a tinybro. That should be the name of my log, "Aspirations from a tinybro."

I just had a flashback to when I was 18 years old and a senior in high school. I needed an extra PE class so I took some type of cardio/weightlifting class. Coach had me go to the bench press to show me the form. We load 5 pounds on each side. I wobbled through like a madman and got 1 rep!!! One facking rep!!!!

That photo seems pretty muscular for 5'10" 155 lbs. I'd have guessed you were heavier than that.

I graduated boot camp at 5'9" 155 lbs and my arms and shoulders weren't nearly that big (legs like tree trunks tho).
