Metabolic Drive- Orange

my favorite along with banana. The rest taste too strong in their flavor. Doesn't mix for **** and clumps, impossible to make without a big spoon and glass and goes down really slow, bad convenience overall. Nutritional value and taste are OK though.

syntha6 chocolate peanut butter is great, the cookies and cream is quite good...will try chocolate milkshake tomorrow

syntha6 chocolate milkshake is better than on chocolate but not as good as metabolic drive chocolate...

overall im very happy with the syntha6 tastes...and i got them for 19.99/2lb so im happy with the price as well...

I've tried a ton of new proteins in the last couple weeks, as I ordered the ON 16 flavor sample pack. I've also tried Syntha-6 Strawberry Milkshake and Chocolate Mint since my last reviews.

BSN Syntha-6 Strawberry Milkshake - 10/10 taste, 10/10 mixability. Along with S6 Chocolate Peanut Butter (and not that far behind S6 Cookies & Cream), this is the by far the best tasting protein I've come across and I mix at least one of these every day.

BSN Syntha-6 Chocolate Mint - 7.5/10 taste, 9/10 mixability. Still pretty good as far as taste goes, but of the four S6 proteins I've tried, this one is at the bottom of the lineup.

ON Banana Cream - 7.5/10 taste, 9/10 mixability. Even though it's not the greatest taste-wise, it's pretty good and I'll probably order a small tub for the change of pace.

ON Delicious Strawberry - 6/10 taste, 10/10 mixability. Just meh, generic, pales in comparison to both S6 Strawberry Milkshake and the later mentioned ON Strawberry Banana.

ON Caramel Toffee Fudge - 5/10 taste, 9/10 mixability. I really think this is one of those "love it or hate it" kinda flavors that you have to try for yourself, but as for me I didn't really like it. One thought that crossed my mind while trying this one is how horrid it would go down PWO.

ON Chocolate Malt - 7.5/10 taste, 10/10 mixability. I think this is the best of the chocolates I tasted in the sample pack, and I'll probably order a tub of it.

ON Double Rich Chocolate - 6/10 taste, 10/10 mixability. I'd previously ordered a tub of this without first trying it based on recommendations before I tried this sample pack (and earlier gave it a 5/10, which I'd bump up a bit here upon trying all the other flavors). I'm surprised so many people like it because frankly I think it's the worst of the four chocolates in the sample pack.

ON Chocolate Mint - 7/10 taste, 8/10 mixability. The taste is a bit light but still good. If I were ever looking for a mint flavor again I'd probably order this even though I thought the S6 tasted a bit better, as the ON offers a bit better fat/carb profile than the S6, but for now I'll pass on this one.

ON Extreme Milk Chocolate - 7/10 taste, 10/10 mixability. This one had the strongest flavor of the four chocolates, and I can see how this one receives mixed reviews. Overall I think this one's good but not great, and I'd order the Chocolate Malt before this one.

ON Strawberry Banana - 8/10 taste, 8/10 mixability. This one tastes just like its name suggests and it was probably the best tasting one in the pack by a hair, but I don't see myself purchasing this one on account of the S6 Strawberry Milkshake tasting the best as far as strawberry flavors go.

ON Rocky Road - 7.5/10 taste, 10/10 mixability. This has a unique flavor that I liked and I'll probably order a small tub of this, for similar reasons to the Banana Cream.

ON Root Beer Float - 7/10 taste, 8/10 mixability. This tastes just like the name sounds, minus the biting carbonation feel of the real thing. It's good overall but not quite good enough for me to buy a tub of it at this time, maybe some time down the road.

ON Cookies & Cream - 5/10 taste, 8/10 mixability. Bleh, not much here, and I don't think I've ever seen good reviews on this one either. Furthermore the S6 Cookies & Cream tastes way way way better, so I don't see any scenario where you'd want to buy this one ever.

ON Orange Cream - 3/10 taste, 7/10 mixability. Just horribly nasty and thick to boot, I dumped this one with more than half the glass remaining.

ON Tropical Punch - 6.5/10 taste, 6/10 mixability. This one surprised me a bit as I didn't expect much from it, but the taste is still slightly generic. Didn't mix well either.

ON Vanilla Ice Cream - 5/10 taste, 10/10 mixability. Very bleh with a kinda sour taste. Overall though just really bland/generic.

ON French Vanilla Creme - 5.5/10 taste, 10/10 mixability. This one had a more distinct vanilla taste than the previous one. I thought it had a bit of a bitter taste that you slightly taste in some of the other ON proteins, but this taste came out a lot more here.

ON Mocha Cappuccino - 7.5/10 taste, 9/10 mixability. This one's pretty good overall, but I probably won't get it as I'm not much of a coffee drinker in general. I think a lot of people could like this one though, and if there are a small handful of "try it for yourself" flavors, this is one of them.

picked up some Oh Yeah RTD's for like 1.20 a bottle (super awesome deal) and the makeup of it is pretty good, along with it tasting really good.

32 grams of protein, 3 grams of sugar, 9 grams of fat. I really just bought it because it was such a steal

What do you lot think about cooking with protein powder? Some recipes for nut bars require you to oven cook with protein powder which some say is bad.

I just wanted to say that I love this PWO, 2:1 dextroserotein. But then I really like sweet stuff, so...Doesn't do it for me mixed with milk, but I really like it with sweet with water.

And yes, it does mix well.

Definitely post in here once you've tried that one, as I haven't tasted a good vanilla flavor yet and S6 is mostly really good.

I just got Syntha-6 Vanilla and Mochacinno(sp?). I don't really like the Vanilla flavor (it's ok, just not my favorite), but the Mochacinno is sick good. I really like it in milk, haven't tried it with water.

I also got the BSN Syntha-6 vanilla. 10/10 imo. Tastes like a milkshake even just with water. Don't like the look of some of the ingredients (corn syrup etc) but probably not anything unique to this protein.

Yea, there's almost always a tradeoff between taste and filler components.

MD strikes a reasonable balance. For totally filler-free stuff trueprotein is great. Their teamskip (34% wpi 33% micellar casein 33% egg protein) tastes deece to me.
